Did anyone not see the worry cross this child’s face when told to say “I’m sorry, please forgive me?”
I’m all for teaching children about faith and religion, but I think teaching a child to parrot a prayer in this manner is wrong. Prayer can be personal and private. Perhaps allowing him to engage/watch/listen while YOU pray might teach him what asking for forgiveness is versus simply having him repeat yours.
