Back to School with MetroPCS {$100 Visa Gift Card Giveaway!}

I am the proud owner of a new Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G. This phone is pretty nifty I must say! I’ve been using in for a few days now, and I really like the features on this particular phone.

In fact the last 3 phones I’ve owned have been Samsung phones. They’ve all been great phones, and I’ve never had problems in the digital age we are living in it’s almost impossible to go a day without a cell phone. I’ve left mine at home before, and I feel so LOST all day without it. I didn’t realize how much I relied on my phone until I didn’t have it with me.

Now that school is right around the corner I’m sure all those teens and tweens must have their cell phones at all times. Your child having a cell phone can also benefit you as a parent. It can help you stay in touch with your kids while they are on the go, at school, and at and other activities. A cell phone can give you peace of mind to know that if an emergency were to occur your child would have a way to call for help.

MetroPCS has the nation’s most affordable 4G LTE service, with the plans starting at $40-taxes and regulatory fees included. MetroPCS is the only provider that can offer no contracts and offer 4G LTE at an unmatched value. You have the freedom to choose any plan and any device and change at any time to fit your lifestyle and evolving needs. Not only do we use our cell phones to make calls and texts, we use it for so many other things in our daily lives. We use it as an alarm, a music player, a GPS system; we search the Internet and take photos. You can play millions of songs through Rhapsody Unlimited Music and download movies, TV shows, apps and more on the Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G.

All of these features are available in the Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G to keep you connected to everything you care about. And for just $199 (+ tax and after mail-in rebate, for a limited time).

I remember the feeling I had as a teenager when I got my first cell phone. I was so excited that my parents trusted me with it, and I felt secure knowing I had a way to reach anyone at any time. Making the decision to buy a cell phone for yourself or your child can be a big leap. You will feel better knowing if you choose MetroPCS you aren’t tied down. You get the freedom you want and the cell phone you need.

  1. Well, at seven months, she doesn’t have one yet, but we’ve already started the conversation of when. I have a feeling it will be before she goes to college, which is when I got my first cell phone. 🙂

  2. our baby is still cooking (due in february!) but we’ve already said they shouldn’t need one until they are left alone somewhere (the mall with friends, etc.)

  3. My oldest is 9 and has asked about having a cell phone, but I don’t think he’s old enough. I would say 12 years old.

  4. My step-daughter got her phone 6 months after she turned 12. Her schedule was getting busier and we all needed her to have one.

  5. My son is 9 and some of his classmates have phones. I think that is too young. I hope we can wait a couple more years.

  6. They are both to young to have one yet (8 & 4) but I am thinking a basic phone when the start jr high so I can find them at pick up time might be good 🙂

  7. My son has one (but he is 18 now). He uses it for texting mostly! ha don’t they all; anyway, he got his when he was 16 after he got his first job and could pay for it himself. Thanks kmassman gmail

  8. I think I was 14; and I held on to my phone every single minute calling and texting. Of course my parents were not happy about the phone bill. We didn’t have any smartphones or none of that fancy stuff, but it was definitely good ol’ times I want to go back to. 🙂

  9. hes in utero.. so no phone yet but i think teen years are when to start. scg00387 at yahoo dot com

  10. My older son received his first phone at age 12. The younger son received his first phone at age 9. I can’t imagine them NOT having cell phones!

  11. My kids don’t have their own cell phones yet. But I think when they are 11 or 12, then I’ll give them a cell phone for emergency purposes. 🙂

  12. no kids for me yet, but i probably will wait until they show themselves responsible for a phone. maybe make them wait until they’re old enough to pay for it for themselves. we’ll see when the time comes!

  13. My children are all adults and cell phones weren’t even around for the public when they were teens. Now they all have one and most of their children do too.
I guess we were part of the dark ages lol

  14. My son is 12 and he doesn’t have his “own” phone, but he does have one that is our “home cell phone” that he takes places when needed.

  15. they haven’t yet . . . I used to say it was appropriate only when they began to drive, but now I’m thinking middle school is appropriate. They start to have lives then and need to keep contact with their parents.

  16. I agree with many of the commentors – they don’t need one until they go places on their own (middle/high school)

  17. I don’t have kids, so can’t really answer this question. When I was a kids in the 1970s/80s, we didn’t have cell phones! LOL I can say that if I had kids, I would not allow them to have a phone of their own until middle school at the earliest.
