Falconry at Leed’s Castle

Okay…our kitchen was finished this weekend and I finally feel like I’m getting my life and my home back together…so no more excuses for not writing 🙂

England….continued….

One of our favorite things we did was the falconry experience at Leed’s Castle.  Our falconry guide, Reece, was awesome.  It just so happened that we arrived on a day they had a rare and crazy thunderstorm.  I told Terence before we went “As long as I get to see the owl I am good!”  So we started out with the owl and I am so glad we did because when it started to downpour I sat out for the falcon….eeek!

Connor and cousin Ethan had a good time.  I just love that we have family to visit in such fun places like this…it makes everything so much more FUN!

Leed’s Castle is so pretty.  I could totally live here!  Ha ha!

There just happened to be a new baby owl there named Stella and we got to feed her.  Soooo cute!  I think he said within a few weeks she would double in size.  Her feathers were so soft too.

Now this is a wine cellar!

Here is a tour of the castle.  It’s not everything…you’ll just have to go visit someday, but it’s pretty neat.  Looking back I am ashamed at the lack of selfies I didn’t take with people.  I mean seriously Becky!!!

These kiddos in the water….love it!

Next up Germany…of course no trip to England would be complete without a Costa coffee!  Thank you Adrianne, Graham, and family for having us we love you so much!
