National Thermos Brand Day was May 19th and I got an exciting package in the mail. I received a HUGE Thermos with piping hot coffee in the mail as part of the Overnight Coffee Challenge.

My Thermos kept my coffee fresh for 24 hours. That’s hard to imagine, but it’s true! I am the kind of person that walks in a room and I forget what I walked in there for. Yeah…that’s me. I’m glad my coffee stays warm and fresh, at least I don’t have to worry about my coffee getting cold.

This coffee is super fresh too. It was packaged on 5/11 and sent out right away. This is way fresher than you would get in the grocery store.

Mother’s Day is this weekend and I wanted to take some photos of my son. I love to come up with different ideas and make photo props. I wanted something simple and springy for Mother’s Day.

I found a bunch of these paper flowers at the craft store and simply attached them to some twine and “oila” I had a cute little garland. So delicate and pretty for spring.

If you want something extra fold over some washi tape to make little tassels.

And to quench your thirst one of my favorite boosters in the summer time is an iced Coca Cola with a shot of espresso! I know what you are thinking…but TRUST it’s so good!

Makeover Party Madness with #HummusMadeEasy

A couple of weeks ago I went to a fun makeup party with some family and friends. If there is one thing I know from growing up with a twin sister it’s that MAKEOVERS ARE AWESOME! I love to play with makeup, always have, and always will. My sister and I went through a tragic phase…like most teens…until we learned to straighten our hair and conceal those pimples. Ha!

Anyway, I digress…

Nothing brings girls together like makeup and good food am I right?

We had the best time chatting and talking about different looks. I love a liquid eyeliner myself (I like to channel my inner Katy Perry).

I didn’t get a photo of my makeup darn it! That’s what happens when you are always behind the camera, but I promise you I looked fab!

Oh the choices we gals have to make to look beautiful. Actually, I think it’s quite fun to change-up your look and play with different options.

Nothing makes a party like good food in my opinion. I mean what’s better than “party food”??? To this gathering I brought some YUMMY….I mean totally DELISH Hummus. I love me some hummus lady friends.

Someone asked me what my recipe was. Well, I’ll tell you all three of these hummus creations took less than 15 minutes to put together. It was incredibly easy.

I used BUSH’S^® Hummus Made Easy. It comes in three flavors: Classic Hummus Made Easy, Southwest Black Bean Hummus Made Easy, and Roasted Red Pepper Hummus Made Easy.

TOP IT OFF:

Classic Hummus Made Easy: Topped with a bit of cracked pepper feta.

Black Bean Hummus Made Easy: Topped with diced jalapeno peppers.

Roasted Red Pepper Hummus Made Easy: Topped with paprika.

Serve with pita chips, veggies, and pretzels.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! A Bachelor Party & #ASweetPairing

What’s better than a night in with girlfriends & jumping on the crazy train also known as “The Bachelor”? Add in some wine and chocolate and you practically have a love fest going on, not to mention the best commentary in the whole world! Ha ha!

My friend Kelly and I get together on Monday nights to have a Bachelor viewing party and girl’s night in. (Have I mentioned how much I just adore Kelly and the fact that she moved here from Arkansas recently???) It’s so hard to make friends when you move some place new. I know God put her here for ME…at least that is what I’m telling myself because we have become instant friends 🙂 We say Kelly is my future self or I am her past self or whatever that is…ha ha!!!

Bachelor night with the girls. I thought that was cute with my rose in my mouth. Ahem…

Anyway…we have the best time just doing anything! So, this past Monday night was extra special because we threw a wine and chocolate party to go along with our Bachelor get together.

First stop…Walmart for all the necessities.

Next we made some Ghirardelli covered popcorn. Oh my goodness…YUM.

I also dipped some pretzel sticks in Ghirardelli chocolate. The more chocolate the merrier in my opinion.

We have a party crasher and trouble over here. Doesn’t trouble look like Adele???

I filled party glasses with 1/2 white wine & topped off with DASANI sparkling water in Berry and Lime flavors.

I added a little kick to some of the drinks with some cranberry and lemon vodka. I added the cranberry in with the DASANI Berry sparkling water & the lemon with the DASANI Lime sparkling water. These turned out delicious!

McCafé packaged coffee is made from 100% Arabica coffee. It’s delish…I tried the espresso roast and it was so yummy. I prefer a dark roast, but they also have a great breakfast blend. Terence likes the Breakfast Blend…different strokes for different folks. That’s what flavor choices are all about right?

During the holidays everything is go, go, go!!! I know I need a boost during the day…maybe a few times a day. You all know my favorite way to amp up my day is with a cup of coffee 🙂 Growing up my Mom took us to McDonald’s as a treat, it’s always been a special place for us & so many families. I was excited when they started making coffee in the restaurants, and now I am even MORE excited I can find it in the stores.

Connor knows his Mama starts off each day with a cup of coffee. He loves the smell of coffee…wake up your kiddos people. Ha ha! On our way to school listening to Christmas music 🙂 “Fa…la…la…la…la..la…”
