My child’s nutrition is by far one of the most important things I factor in while grocery shopping. You know how kids are….they pretty much just want a block of cheese or a candy bar. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a book. I just don’t have that much time anymore. I love books by Sophie Kinsella. The Twilight series was great when I was reading it. I pretty much like anything that is a romance with some comedy added to the mix.

Right now my favorite TV show is The Blacklist. I’m trying so hard to figure the story line out and it’s one of those shows where you think someone is a good guy and they are really bad…..or are they good? I don’t know!
The most spontaneous thing I’ve ever done is …
Ugh. I don’t know….I’m pretty boring. And I’m a rule follower. I did all the things growing up that teenagers do. Sneak out, wear a shorter skirt, rebel a little bit. For the most part I was a good kid. I never really got into trouble and the only person I’ve ever dated seriously is my husband…..so ya know. I’m just waiting for him to be spontaneous now 😉
I prefer DOGS/CATS because …
I used to be the biggest cat person ever. Our first baby was a cat named Holly and she was so sweet. She would lay with me in the bed every night and when Terence was in Iraq that cat was my companion. She got sick and sadly we had to give her away 🙁
Then we got our boxer, Rowen. He was a great dog too. Much more energy than a cat, but we had a lot of great memories with him too. Until we moved and had to sell him. He was such a loyal dog and so goofy!
I met my significant other …
You can read more about our love story HERE & HERE & HERE. But really we met through my sister who found a dorm mate of Terence’s online. We met at Baskin Robbins one night and he kept pursuing me….(that’s what I say) and we’ve been together ever since.
This was our first Christmas together in 2001. Can we say awkward family photo???

BBB-BBB-BATMAN!
Like….seriously this child won’t wear anything but this shirt. When we go out in public he tells every stranger “hey look at my Batman shirt!” It’s becoming an issue. He is refusing to take it off. Should I hide it? Should I run to Target & buy 5 more because God forbid he ever gets a hole in this one or a stain???
That’s going to be one tantrum I don’t want to be around for….
Batman boy has also been experiencing serious bed wetting issues lately. I’m so tired of washing sheets and picking up his clothes at school in a plastic baggy. Any pointers out there from Mom’s who have had bed wetters?
I got my Birchbox in for April. I liked it. I remember when I first joined like 3 years ago you’d get full sized samples of makeup. The silver eyeliner is cool-literally. I have problems with eyeliner pens you have to sharpen they always break off immediately and my sharpener just eats them up. Maybe it’s the user? Maybe the sharpener? I dunno…I’ve tried several different kinds and they all eat my eye pencils! Loved the nail polish and the night cream. Wrinkles BE GONE!

Easter 2014
We had a great Easter weekend! The weather was perfect. Lots of memories, family, friends, & praise! Thankful for all our blessings this year & the time to reflect on Jesus and the sacrifice HE made so that we can live. It’s so easy to forget when you’re busy living each day….but truly every day we’re given is a blessing.
I especially miss my family back home during this time. Growing up we spent every Easter at the farm in Arkansas. I’m thankful for phone calls and Skype in this day and age too 🙂

If you’ve ever met me, you know I can’t stand to wait for surprises! So, of course I gave Connor his Easter basket early because I get so excited. A basket full of Ninja Turtles pretty much sums it up. 
On Saturday night we had the big egg hunt with all the cousins at Terence’s parents house. All the kids had a blast and I’m pretty sure they ended up in a sugar coma for the rest of the weekend. It’s so much fun having all these kids growing up together and making memories. I leave you with pictures of the “BIG HUNT”.
