We Be Trippin

Last weekend Connor and I decided to make one last trip to Arkansas before school starts.  I’m glad I got the chance to spend some time with family and friends.  So, we road tripped it to AR in the 100-billion degree heat.  Many trips to Starbucks later we made it to my sister’s house.

I got to see Bonnie & Vinny’s new home they are building and help pick out light fixtures.  We ate a bunch of good food.  Spent some relaxing time at the farm with Nannie.  Got some hugs from my Mommy & Daddy.  I even got to visit with some of my best friends from New Jersey who happened to be in town!  It all worked out great and now we are back to the real world again.

These two are certainly a tornado together.  Alone…they are perfectly fine, but when you combine the two it’s utter chaos.  I got a horrible sinus infection while visiting and I had to sit for almost 2 hours at an urgent care place to get a steroid shot and some meds with these boys….CRAZINESS!  On the bright side I got to see my cousin who happened to work at Walmart pharmacy & filled my prescription!  What do ya know…it was so good to see her too 🙂

I got to snap some photos of this beautiful baby girl…be still my heart.  If I had a girl I would go NUTS I tell ya!  Too many fru fru and frilly things to my heart’s delight.

And to cap off the weekend we celebrated Great Granddaddy’s 89th birthday!  He’s so precious to us and we hope to spend many more years together.  We love you Granddaddy!

No…I’ve Not Fallen Off The Face of the Planet.

Oh my gosh y’all!  Things have been super busy lately.  I’ve neglected my bloggy blog for a bit too long.  I’ve been busy with my new job, photo shoots, and doing laundry.  Ya know…living the life.

We are about to put our house on the market and packing is craziness!  We watched Tiny Houses on Netflix and going through all our crap makes me want to “tiny” my life.  I don’t think I could actually live in a tiny house, but the idea is appealing.  I know I want to get rid of all that junk we don’t use anymore.  We went through closets last weekend and gave a ton to good will.  I felt free!

The idea of moving is scary, but we are hoping to get moved before Connor starts the big Kindergarten this year.

Terence and I have been juicing again for dinner.  I’ve been avoiding Easter candy like the plague.  Stupid Cadbury mini eggs!!!  They are crack.

I got to spend time with my good friend Sarah and her precious lil diva Ellie.  I just adore this high/low dress.  She’s the cutest little thing….like….EVER.

Sarah is also the owner of the cutest shop Wake Me Up Designs.  She made me my very own sparkly “Java Mama” t-shirt.  Watch out J-Lo….I be blinging.  unnamed

Here’s a little throwback for you.  Ter-Bear and I dating and sharing our first Easter together.  Gah…I was skinny.  Must have been before Cadbury mini eggs came out.  It was 15 years ago after all.  I am blaming the Cadbury mini eggs for everything right now.Terence-and-Becky-at-Easter-2000

A Day Off Work…It Sure is QUIET!

I just turned on the heater.

Can I get an amen?

It’s finally sort of fall-ish…at least for today.  Until it gets back into the 80’s this week.  Blah.

I kept Connor home with me on Friday, but I took him to school today so I could get some photo editing done.  I’m paying for it right?  So why not take him.

I’m so excited to get this season started  and bring on the boots, scarves, and dark nail polish!

Speaking of nail polish I joined Julep and I’m loving it!  This purple color I got this month is my favorite so far.  I tried the Night Shift mask the other day and it was super moisturizing.  I felt like I had to let my face dry before I went to sleep though.

I got a new purse too and I’m loving it.  That Coach outlet website is awesome!  You can get some great bags and over 50% off!  This color is a grey green and perfect for fall.  The side pockets are great for my cell phone and keys too.

Terence and I watched Mom’s Night Out. If you haven’t seen that movie then you MUST. It’s so funny!

Photo Fun + Finish This

Last week I ordered some files from Caravan Shoppe and I am just in LOVE with them! I took the files to Office Depot and had them printed on 36 x 48 paper and they work great for photo backdrops. Someday my dream of having a professional photo setup will come true! Until then I think these are great for taking festive photos. The holidays are right around the corner and I’m excited to use these for some photo shoots.

Connor begged for a skeleton shirt (This one glows in the dark) and this Batman bucket.  They are both from Chasing Fireflies.  I just love that magazine, most of the stuff is pretty pricey, but the bucket was only $8 & the shirt was on sale for $8 too!

I also got my Birchbox in this week.  I really wish they would include more MAKEUP!  I have about a bazillion perfume samples and nail polishes.  I want makeup yo!

Five on Friday

This week has been crazy busy with stuff to do…so I’m anxiously awaiting our vacation to Arkansas next week! Yay! I haven’t been home since Christmas and I’m so ready to see my family.

2. One of Connor’s favorite shows, Chuggington, has a traintastic new movie out called Chuggington: Explorer Koko.  The latest Chuggington release from Anchor Bay Entertainment features six action-packed episodes that bring exciting adventures to young fans everywhere.  Super cute movie y’all!D7K_8222

 3.  We celebrated Mother’s day a little bit early with Terence’s family last weekend.  It was a beautiful windy day and all the kids had fun playing outside 🙂  We had some good food, including a Petit Jean Ham that was delicious!
