Thank You!

Connor says “thank you” to all my bloggy friends!
All your sweet comments mean so much right now 🙂
The start of this first week has been challenging, especially since I just cry and cry over nothing sometimes! We are trying to get into a routine and Connor has been really good the past couple of nights. He just wants to be fed and rocked and that’s about all. My Mom and Nannie went home today…and they were a tremendous help! I was sad to see them go because it was so nice to have all that extra help. People tell you how challenging parenting is and how sleep deprived you will be, but you never actually realize that until you are IN it! It’s so worth it when I see my baby happy and look at his face. Terence has been amazing these past few days and he’s the best Daddy ever 🙂 He helps me so much I am scared when he has to go back to work right now and it will just be the two of us.
Connor had his first pediatrician appt today and he looks great! The only thing is they want us to supplement him with formula right now because he has lost some weight since birth. It breaks my heart because I want to breastfeed and we are just getting in the hang of things, but I also want him to be strong and healthy so today we are starting to supplement. I know he will do well and I will still continue to breastfeed him too.
I guess that is all the updates right now. Thank you all for making me feel so much better and all your sweet comments on baby Connor, they mean so much! XOXO Becky

It’s a Boy!

Well, here I am sitting in the hospital room writing my second post (I don’t think this time will take me 15 minutes since I definitely have something to write about 🙂 ).

Many of you have waited nine months for this moment — Drum Roll Please — I’m here to announce that Connor James Branch has officially been born. He’s a whopper at 9 pounds 14 ounces and is 20 ½ inches long.

Becky ended up having a c-section (expected) and everything went just fine. Connor is healthy and I’m sure there will be more to follow.

I ask you continue to pray and support Becky since she will be trying to breastfeed. This can often times be very demanding on the mother; however, Connor seems willing to try (and that’s a start given he’s never had to do this before!).

Thank you again for being part of our “family”.

Blessings to you all,
–Terence

My due date is tomorrow…I am soooo ready!!!

Last night my friend Nicole from high school was in Dallas visiting family and she stopped by with her baby Jack. He was SO cute! It was so nice to see a familiar face from home 🙂 Come back anytime you guys!

I’m fixing to go put my feet up so I don’t swell and explode! I’ve been extremely swollen, but I know that comes with the territory. I promise to get back into the blogosphere soon!

Game Plan

Bonnie & Becky babies (we look like gnomes) LOL!

Everyone asks me if I think Connor and Jarrett will look alike because Bonnie and I are twins. I don’t know if they will or not, but we DO have different husbands! LOL! We will see 🙂

FRIDAY: My last official day of work…woohoo!

MONDAY: My official due date

WEDNESDAY: If Connor hasn’t graced us with his presence my now I’ll go in to the hospital & if I have dilated then we’ll try for a natural labor, if not I go in for pre-op

THURSDAY: At the hospital at 10:00 am and a scheduled c section at 12:00 pm. Prayers please!!! I am not really that nervous I just want Connor to get here and be healthy and safe.

So at least we all know by this time next week at the latest Connor will be here! Getting so excited and anxious as the days pass by. I can’t wait!

We love you Auntie & Dr. update

Connor and I got a package from Aunt Bonnie today 🙂

She got him the cutest little Easter outfit (I LOVE those little footie’s!) and a bib that says “I love my Aunt” She also sent me some breast feeding supplies and some cute Easter kitchen towels. That is so sweet sister and it made my day when I came home! I love you and miss you so much! Move HERE….wahhhh!!!!

I also had my weekly Dr. appt today and STILL NO PROGRESS!!!! If I don’t go into labor by next Thursday we have an induction/c-section planned. At least I have a date that I know I can look forward to….apparently I have a horrible uterus and pelvic bones and this baby just won’t drop! The Dr. can’t even feel him…that’s because he’s in my rib cage yo! Until then I am going to work right up until I go into the hospital, trying to save those vacation/sick days for baby Connor the best I can! Everyone says “Your HUGE!” when they see me, and I am just like “I know…I know” What can a girl do???

Hope you all had a good Monday….XOXO Becky
