Adventures in Babysitting

I used to LOVE this movie!!!

We didn’t have quite that adventure.  We did get to keep our niece Ellie the other night and it was so much fun!  She and Connor get to spend every day together while I’m at work, but I never get to see them interact together.  They love each other so much and are just like brother and sister 🙂

These two are less than a day apart….isn’t that cool?

Cousins eating popcorn watching Elmo’s ABC’s
 Playing with toys
 Bounce Bounce Bounce!!!
If you’ll notice Connor has two bandaids on his knees.  He BEGS to wear bandaids! LOL!  I don’t know what it is but he just loves them….he did fall and have boo boos on both knees though.

Bedtime was the hardest part.  We ended up having to put them in separate rooms because they couldn’t sleep without distracting one another.  It was a rough night because Connor was excited she was there and she was in an unfamiliar place.  Once we got Ellie to sleep she slept through the night…but Connor ended up in our bed around 1 am & didn’t sleep a lick that night!

Anyway, we had a great time playing and spending time together and can’t wait until our next sleepover!

Don’t forget ya’ll…..today is free slurpee day at 7-11!!!!

Diamonds & Chocolate

I ordered my very first Diamond Candle.  My sister told me about these last year.  She’s ordered a few and so have some friends.  There was a deal on Plum District a few weeks ago so I ended up getting it for around $5!  I ordered the Gingerbread Latte scent and it smells delicious!  They are also soy based & I like that.

This is the ring I had in my candle.  I think it’s PROBABLY fake???  Ya think?  I still like it and it’s a very pretty ring!  The rings are usually about a 1/3 of the way down the candle.  You can be patient and wait for it to burn or dig it out like me 😛

 Rings can be worth $10, $100, $1000, or $5000!
I’ve seen a lot of people win real diamond rings on their Facebook page 🙂
 So excited!!!

And now for the chocolate part…..

Sarah over at Life {Sweet} Life posted this recipe and I HAD to try it!
SYMPHONY BROWNIES
1 box of brownie mix
2 king size Symphony bars
(Bake brownies normally and just put 1/2 the batter on bottom.  Top with Symphony bars.  Then cover with the rest of the batter and bake!)

 YUM!
I brought them up to work so we don’t eat them at home 😉

Painting Zebras

I let Connor paint with the eco-kids paint we got in our Citrus Lane box last month.
He had a fun time painting his “Zebra” or at least that’s what he said it was.  Silly boy!
Love him with all my heart.

Love you boo boo….I’ll be home soon!

I Did It…..

I crafted.
I finally got up the nerve to paint the heavy brass platter I got at an estate sale for $5.  I LOVE IT!  Now it actually matches our stuff and I can’t wait to use it.  It’s really heavy and much bigger than it looks in the pictures.  Did I mention I love estate sales???

“I can sparkle like Edward too Mom!”
Hope ya’ll are having a great weekend!

American Meal {Hoffbrau Steaks Review}

On the 4th of July we ate a fabulous lunch at Hoffbrau Steakhouse.

The perfect view from our table!

At Hoffbrau they serve the most delicious bread…it is so good and Connor especially enjoys it!

 Appetizer:  Potato Skins=YUM!

I ordered the Dr. Pepper BBQ chicken sandwich and potato chips.  It was SO good!  I loved the potato chips, they are made in house and taste amazing.

Terence got the chicken fried steak with a baked potato.  He really enjoyed his as well!

Hoffbrau had great food, service, and the atmosphere was so much fun!

We’ll definitely be going back to enjoy another meal 🙂
