We wanted to alert you to an opportunity for DFW-area women bloggers!

Wittlbee Box

We finally received our first Wittlebee box!  Yay!  I was so excited about this because it was a surprise….you don’t know what you are going to get.  Wittlebee is a site where you answer questions about your child: size, age, style, color choices.  Then a stylist will talk with you about what you like.  You pay $19.99 and get a box full of clothing each month!

For the $19.99 price I believe you have to use a coupon code: “50

Here is what Connor boy got:

He was really into trying on his Daddy’s boots from Iraq.  It was so funny!

We got this plaid shirt, which I love, but I can’t remember the brand…it’s not something I have heard of.  It’s really cute on him and well made.

Kenneth Cole swim shorts for summer
Knit shorts from Carters & Children’s Place
Gray polo and plaid shorts from Children’s Place
Two solid t-shirts from American Apparel
They were very soft cotton

I was very pleased with my first box and I think we got a lot of cool stuff for $20 bucks!  Thank you Wittlebee!!!

(Wittlebee has no idea I’m talking about them…I just think this is too cool!)

{As Seen on Shark Tank}

Have ya’ll seen the TV show Shark Tank?  It’s on Friday nights and it’s one of mine and Terence’s favorite shows.  A couple weeks ago they had a toddler sippy cup on called “Lollacup“.

Oh my gosh the idea is ingenius!  It’s a sippy cup with a flexible straw & has a weighted end that anchors it in the liquid, so young children can drink effectively even when the cup is tilted.  Why can’t I think of things like this???

Anyway, after the show ended I got online and ordered one.  We love it so far and it works perfectly.  The straw stays weighted in the water, so no matter how your child tilts the cup they are able to drink every last drop!  Amazeballs!

You can also remove those handles on the cup too
 Okay folks I’m outta here…..
I have more important things to do 😉

Why Buy When You Can Rent?

I know a lot of seniors who are graduating this year.  They are ready for the summer of their lives and then they’ll be off to collage in no time!  Lets just not think about Connor doing that for awhile eh?
I remember starting my first year of college.  It was overwhelming, exciting, and I was in a place I’d never been before.  It’s a fresh start!  A place to make new friends and memories for the next four years.  College is also extremely expensive these days.  I shutter to think of what the cost will be when Connor is in school….sigh….

On top of tuition, food, and dormitory expenses you have books as well.  College books are SO expensive!  I recently found a site called CampusBookRentals

There are some major perks to renting a textbook as apposed to buying:

-save 40-90% off of bookstore prices
-free shipping both ways
-can highlight in the textbooks
-flexible renting periods
-we donate to Operation Smile with each textbook rented

I think it’s so awesome that CampusBookRentals donate to Operation Smile.  It’s one of my favorite charities.

Operation Smile is an international children’s medical charity that heals children’s smiles, forever changing their lives. As a children’s charity, they measure themselves by the joy they see on all of the faces they help. They’re a mobilized force of medical professionals and caring hearts who provide safe, effective reconstructive surgery for children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate.

Every three minutes a child is born with a cleft — often unable to eat, speak, socialize or smile. In some places these children are shunned and rejected. And in too many cases, their parents can’t afford to give them the surgeries they need to live a normal life. That’s where they come in as an international charity providing much needed surgical services. Since 1982, Operation Smile — through the help of dedicated medical volunteers — has provided more than 2 million patient evaluations and over 200,000 free surgeries for children and young adults born with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities. As one of the most prominent children’s charities in the world and with a presence in over 60 countries, they are able to heal children’s smiles and bring hope for a better future.

At Campusbookrentals they donate between .35% to .45% of every textbook rental to operation smile. This means if a customer rents a book that costs $50 on the site, they donate $20 dollars to Operation Smile. So with every textbook rented the customer is making a difference in a child’s life.

Who Would You Cast for 50 Shades of Grey?

Ana
I think up and coming actress Allison Williams would be great for the role.
(Her Dad is also famed newscaster Brian Williams…don’t know how Daddy would feel about that role?)
Christian Grey
I think Armie Hammer would be a great choice for this role…hair, grey eyes, the suit!
Kate
Kristen Bell is bubbly, smart, and pretty…she would do great as Kate!
Mrs. Robinson
Madeleine Stowe….. if you don’t watch Revenge you should be.
It explains why I think she would be a good choice.
SO WHO WOULD YOU CAST FOR 50 SHADES?
I’m in the midst of book two.  If you haven’t picked up this book series yet you must!
Okay now back to work ya’ll!!!
