A Hiking We Will Go

We took Connor on his very first nature hike Saturday.  We woke up at the crack of dawn & headed to Starbucks for coffee then to the trails.  Poor little Connor was so tired, but he quickly livened up and was ready to go!
We had a good time as a family…here are a few pics of the day:
Getting ready to go!
Connor loved playing with the camel back
Connor loved riding in his kid carrier & it was a great workout for Terence too! ha..ha..
It’s called a Deuter Outdoor Kid Carrier.  We got lots of questions about it while we were out, so I thought I would share what kind it was.
 HOT! HOT! HOT!
 Drinking lots of water

Here I am with my “spider stick”.  It was almost comical the amount of spiders we encountered.  It seemed like every two steps we would walk through another spider web.  Ick! Ick! Ick!  We were also attacked by ginormous horse flies.  Next time we’ll be covering ourselves in bug spray, but I’d rather just wait until fall to do this again so it’s not so hot and all the buggies are DEAD!

We had a great time together & I’m thankful to God for my boys and the blessings that they are in my life!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend too 🙂

Linus

It seems we now have our own little Linus.
We can’t go ANYWHERE without the blankie these days or he freaks out!

Love you my little Linus….
My twinkie and I were Skyping the other night & both realized we were wearing our NYC shirts 🙂
Totally not planned…ha..ha..it’s a twin thing!

Lots of peeps have been Tweeting about their new Erin Condren planners.  One thing a lot of us noticed was that the tabs were wearing down quickly.  I just throw mine it my purse & I’m pretty rough on things : \

I used some clear duck tape over each one of mine and then cut the excess tape off.  It was an easy fix and now they are sealed and will hopefully last longer.

“Wow…that was EASY!”

Make Me Over-Dark Under Eye Circles

I usually do the “Make Me Over” post on Friday, but I wanted to go ahead and do this one today because the product I’m posting about is about to going to have some great deals featured on HSN tomorrow & Friday.

I love makeup, I’m a hair product hoarder, and I love to play dress up!  I blame that on growing up with a twin sister and always doing makeovers on each other. We even used to video tape our makeover sessions! LOL! Remember Bon?  Those videos have come back to haunt us!

Do you ever have those ugly dark circles under your eyes?

I do….and that’s probably why I drink a significant amount of coffee eh??? ha!

The last few weeks I’ve been using a product by Kesari called Dark Circle Brightening Cream

I put it on before I apply my moisturizer and foundation and it relieves my puffy tired eyes!  I’ve really noticed a difference and I feel like I don’t look so tired 🙂

My Erin Condren Planner

Today I’m linking up with everyone who got an Erin Condren planner over HERE
Let me just tell you how much I LOVE this planner.  I already feel more put together than I have all year.  This planner is fun, bright, and cheerful it actually makes planning my days out….dare I say fun?  I was so excited to receive it and it was delivered in the cutest box too 🙂
I was a bit worried because after I ordered there was a glitch with Erin Condren’s site & we all had to re-order again.  If you are on Twitter then you’ll know what I’m talking about.  It was like an E5 tornado hit and everyone was going cra-zay!  Ha..ha..
Her staff was amazing and handled all the orders beautifully and if you haven’t received yours….fear not….it will be coming soon!  I nearly kissed the Fed Ex man when mine arrived I was so excited!
Why is a life planner so exciting?  I have no idea….but it sure is purdy.
So here’s the one I chose :

INSIDE COVER

WEEKLY CALENDAR
I love how it’s divided into Morning/Day/Night sections

For all that miscellaneous stuff!
They also included some fun personalized stickers & cute paper clips

I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE ALL OF YOURS 🙂

Leapin Lizards!

We attended our friend Paxton’s 4th birthday party this weekend at Leapin Lizards.  It was Connor’s first time to a jump place and he was in heaven!  I think it wore him out because he didn’t wake up until 10:30 this morning….scared me to death because I thought something was wrong!  He was sound asleep and I had to wake him because it was so late.
Terence and I are trying to lead a more “active” lifestyle.  We are going to start hiking and camping on the weekends so we can spend more family time together.  I’m just not happy with myself right now….none of my pants fit because they are all tight.  I’m tired of coming home from work and just throwing a frozen pizza in the oven.  It was easy to keep the weight off while breastfeeding because I was burning so many calories, but since I quit it’s been really hard.  I’ve put on a LOT of weight & have been really depressed about it.  So I’m excited to start living differently and Connor will be happier too because we’ll be spending more QT with him and being active at the same time.  I want to live a long life to see my baby grow up….so good bye love handles….of with your fat selves 😛
Ready to make a change & feel better too!
Thinking about getting a subscription to “Cooking Light” anyone subscribe? What do you think?
Here are a few pics from the birthday party:

My 17 month old is fearless…he isn’t afraid of anything, which in turn scares me…kinda….

 “Aaaaahhhhhh!!!!!”

There was a “no adult” rule on the bouncies.  Jenne took him down the slide anyways the second time & he loved it!  The first time he climbed by himself and went down alone!  He is so funny!

 Me, Jenne, & Amber
Connor climbed all the way to the top of this thing by himself

Paxton had a super hero party 🙂

That’s the sweet birthday boy in the blue
Thanks for inviting us Jenne & fam we had a great time!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
It finally rained and was super muggy all weekend, but we are so thankful for the rain!
