Twilight Turtle Love

Connor got a Twilight Turtle the other day.  This is the cutest thing ever!  It lights up his entire room with a starry night sky.  I’ve talked about how much I love our Sleep Sheep.  We’ve used it since we brought Connor home from the hospital and we still use it every single night.  Cloud B has the most adorable products to help sooth your child and help them sleep better.

Our "Hotter than Heck" Weekend

As I mentioned in the title of this post it was “hotter than heck” this weekend. 
Dear Lord, please bring us rain or a gust of wind or SOMETHING!  All my shirts have pit stains 🙁
Saturday Ter Bear gave me my new IPad 2 and I am loving it!  I am so nervous to take it out right now because I don’t have a case for it yet and the warranty hasn’t kicked in.  Any suggestions on a good protective case?  I need to get one ASAP!  There are so many great APS for kids on there too!
We had lunch at a place downtown Fort Worth called Paul’s Donuts Subs & Gyros.  Terence got a lamb gyro & I had a chicken one.  It was really good!  I love that cucumber sauce that comes on gyros 🙂

We got Connor a BIG BEAR at Costco.  Grana had him at her house so we went and got him.  Connor’s been all over this thing all weekend!  This thing is HUGE!!!  It’s really soft and Connor just loves on it and bounces….it’s so cute to watch.

This weekend was also our last weekend to volunteer in the church nursery.  We decided not to do another year because we want to get involved in other activities.  I got the cutest beanie hat for $7 on sale this weekend and can’t find it anywhere!  I have no idea where it’s at unless Connor has hidden it somewhere….I feel like I am losing stuff all the time now : / 
Maybe I’m just losing my mind……

My Surprise!

Terence and I will celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary August 4th.  I am the most impatient person you will ever meet and I knew he had gotten me something…..so I begged and begged until he finally caved and gave me my present!  He got me an IPad 2 and I LOVE it!  I’ve been begging for an IPad forever and I’m so excited 🙂

I got him something too, but I’m gonna wait until our anniversary to give it to him.  These last 10 years have been the best of my life, they have not always been easy, but through the ups and downs I’ve had my best friend to share life with.  I hope God blesses us with many more years together!

We celebrated a bit earlier this year by taking a trip to NYC & we are planning a trip to Paris to see cousins Katy & Michael early next year.  So I guess you could say this is a year long celebration? ha!  I’m so excited to go…I’ve never been out of the country (excluding being born in Germany which I don’t remember) so this will be exciting!  T & I love to travel and explore….and I can’t wait to see the world with you honey!

Watcha Been Up To?

I ordered Connor his first backpack the other day.  I ordered it off Etsy from a sweet lady named Mary who embroidered it for me.  The link to her shop is HERE.  We love it and now Connor can carry his own diapers…ha…ha…

We’ve had a pretty uneventful week.  It’s just been hotter than heck here.  My Mom is still in Vegas visiting my sister and I think my Dad is getting pretty lonely.  Dad sent me and Connor the sweetest cards in the mail yesterday.  I have the best parents ever 🙂

Because it’s been so hot we’ve had lots of baths this week.  This is C’s favorite thing at night…he loves his baths!

Whenever we gave Connor bread to throw to the ducks he would just eat it!  So the ducks didn’t get any love from him 😛

I received some samples of Shakeology the other day from my friend Michelle.  I tried the chocolate one first, being the chocoholic that I am!  It was quite tasty and rich.  I liked it and it was VERY filling!

 I but a banana and some peanut butter in with mine like she suggested and it was delish!

Lord knows I need to go on a diet!  The other day we took Connor to the park and one of the other moms asked “Are you expecting your second?”  HECK NO!!!!  Who in their right mind asks someone else that???  I was so embarrassed & I’m sure I turned red.  I am obviously not preggers….but it did hurt my feelings a lot.  People just need to watch what they say 🙁
