Weekend Wrap Up

It was a great weekend!  As always they fly by way too fast.
So here’s a little re-cap of what we did….
I think Connor looks like such a little boy here
13 1/2 months
He’s lost all his “baby” looks 🙁

I tried to snap some recent photos of Connor while he was standing still.  The boy is on the MOVE!  He is actually the only walker in his Sunday school class.  Terence and I kept our 2 year old Sunday school class yesterday at church.  Those kids are so cute!  But honestly that has to be the L-O-N-G-E-S-T two hours of my week keeping up with 5-8 two year olds!  The Lord is preparing us for what is to come!

So Friday night I got home from work and I made about 60-70 cake balls for our friend Cy’s first birthday on Saturday.  We also went out to eat with Uncle Adam and Aunt Christa at Red Robbin.  (No photos because U. Adam doesn’t like his photo taken!)  We had a great time and it was nice having them there to entertain C-man while I was baking!  Come babysit anytime you two!!!!

It really is hard to get things done when the young-un is hanging on me like this!
“Pick me up Momma!”
Connor’s been so snuggly lately and he LOVES to give hugs and kisses to everyone!
These are the finished cake balls 🙂
Cy had a puppy themed party
Above is the birthday boy and his Momma got a HUGE bounce house!
It was really fun for the older kids 🙂
Connor was obsessed with this hoola hoop.
Here are all the kids playing “pin the paw on the puppy”
They also had a dance off competition to “Who let the Dogs out” it was too cute!
 Opening presents and eating cake
Here are all the kids in their party favors.  They all got little doggy ears and noses 🙂
I am going home tonight and I have got to get my house straightened up.  We have T’s cousin and her family from England coming to stay with us all week until Saturday.  We are so excited to see them and baby Ethan!  Lots of pics to come I’m sure!
Enjoy your Monday and eat that Easter candy because it’s the last week on the shelves!!!
ha..ha..ha…

It’s Friday Ya’ll!

It is finally FRIDAY!!! Hip hip hooray!!!
Here’s me and my boo boo before I left for work this morning
I love this little dude so much!
Kissing his Noah’s ark animals 🙂
Today on Kelly’s Korner it’s show us your favorite books!
Guess what mine is:
DUH!!!
It’s the Twilight series!!!!

My twin sister and I are a little obsessed and I own way too much Twilight memorabilia.  I don’t care and don’t judge me….I am a 13 year old teenage girl at heart!

I have been to a Twilight party HERE.
Look he sparkles!
I can’t wait until the new movie comes out in NOVEMBER!!!
I also enjoyed the Shopaholic series, the books are way better than the movie was.  I have also heard the Hunger Games is a really good book series.  If I ever have a moment to read again that is what I’ll be reading!  I don’t have as much time to read as I used to.
In other news : Terence and I are on day 6 of couch to 5K and my knees are killing me!
We eat a fruit bag and an egg for breakfast and are trying to diet again…..Lord help me!!!
I LOVE FOOD TOO MUCH!
Hope ya’ll have a great weekend 🙂
Live, Laugh, Love….Enjoy!

Sunshiney Day

I got home from work yesterday and we didn’t want to go to the grocery store, seriously we have no food in our cabinets.  We went to Red, Hot, & Blue because I had a buy one meal get one free coupon (score!)  So we used that and ate up some BBQ!  On our way home we drove through Braums and got some ice cream.  We were pulling in and saw this truck with about 1400 post-its on it!!! Ha..ha..ha…I would have been so mad if this was my car!  Someone got punked on their birthday….poor dude!  It was pretty funny though!
 Eating my chocolate double dipper
Perfect summer day….eating ice cream with the windows rolled down….ahhhh!!!
Connor is tearing up some biscuits, mashed potatoes, and BBQ chicken
And he is FINALLY drinking out of a sippy!  It’s the ones with straws in them 🙂
We still have a bottle, but are slowly graduating to the sippy permanently.
I’ll be so glad to get those bottle racks off the counter and it will free up so much space!
Tomorrow’s Friday ya’ll!!!
Whoopidy Doo 😉

Glamour Shots!

Do ya’ll remember Glamour Shots?  I used to think they were so fun.  Bonnie and I had them done at 14, 16, and 18 years old.  I found some on the computer the other day and just started laughing.  I think the whole Glamour Shot store has changed now and the pictures aren’t so cheesy looking anymore.  I’d love to do a link up and see all your past Glamour Shots if you had them done 🙂
This was 18 years old
Me, Bonnie, and my best friend Sara all went to the mall to get them done
16 yrs old
Don’t you love the patriotic vest???
Ha..ha…ha…ha…!!!!
Me & Bonnie together 🙂

Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend we had grand plans to road trip it to Plano and take some fabulous pictures in the bluebonnets.  I also wouldn’t have minded a pit stop at The Cupcakery 😉  Anyway, those plans were subsided when I came home Friday night to a sick little boy.  I was feeding Connor and stood up and put him over my shoulder and he barfed all down my back….good times!
He has had a lot of sinus issues this weekend and a serious runny nose.  No fever really, just the runs and his poor throat is so dry.  I feel so bad for him when he coughs his little froggy cough.
So we chilled on the sofa and rented a couple movies from Vudu.com.  We watched “Tron” and “Life As We Know It”.  I really like “Tron” and the music was awesome!  I’m a big fan of 80’s music.  “Life As We Know It” was very cute, it was sad in the beginning but it was a sweet film and ended good.
So amongst the sleepless nights, an entire box of Kleenex, and several SEVERAL outfit changes due to barf….we made it through the weekend!  I can’t say I’m not a little glad to be at work today for some peace and quiet….I just hope my boo boo is doing okay at Aunt Rebecca’s today.
Sitting under the burger at the Doc’s office
He was just fine…no ear infections (he’s never had one) just sinus
 Wollering on Momma & Daddy’s bed 🙂
Connor is loving turning the computer on and off.  He also loves getting in our junk drawer at the desk.
Dude is into EVERYTHING!  You never know what you’ll find in his mouth at that scares me to death!
 I see you….
 Sneaky little fella!
I got my new purse in and I am LURRRRVING it!!!!
 Another day at the park
We spend a lot of time there these days!
 Run Connor! Ruuuuunnnn!!!
 Not that way!
This is the only time when cankles are cute 😉
 Time to go bye bye!

Terence and I started on the couch to 5K program last week.  We start day 4 today and our running time increases.  I am not, nor have I ever been, a runner.  This is whooping my butt!  Can you see how red in the face I am and lovely looking without a lick of make-up on???  I be hurting 😛

Also – I wanted to let ya’ll in on my favorite place to buy photo prints online.  This is not endorsed, it’s just a site I like and their picture paper seems to be better quality.  You can also get wallet prints with rounded corners and I love that option!  It’s MPIX.COM and right now they have free shipping!

Have a great Monday!

Coupon Queen

I watched the TLC show Extreme Couponing last night.  How else can I describe it but….EXTREME!  Those people are serious hoarders and I don’t care if it’s a good deal or even free because where am I going to store 52 bottles of mustard in my house!!!  The one thing I won’t do is buy stuff I don’t need just to have it around.  Craziness!
However, I do save an average of $8-$15 in coupons per grocery visit, which is well worth the $2 Sunday paper.  I’ve used the same coupon organizer for years and I was inspired to get a little more organized.  I do have difficulty finding coupons and I’ve always wanted to organize them better.  Today I bought a binder and some clear business card plastic inserts.  I believe the inserts were around $3 for a package of 10 sheets.
So here is my work in progress…..
This is what I had
I also printed off several coupons online 🙂
This magazine was a great resource!
Below are some links I found in the magazine to be helpful :

These are the coupon inserts
It’s a work in progress and I’m excited to save some $$$
But don’t expect me to have 95 bottles of Tide on my shelves anytime soon 😉
I really need to go deal with this MESSY boy!
I wonder if he even got any food in his mouth?
Momma???  Clean me!!!
Bye! Bye!
Tomorrow is Friday! Yeah!!!

It’s a Slow Week Around Here

This has been a S-L-O-W week if there ever was one!  I’ve just been working & spending time with my boys at night.  I ordered a new Dooney purse and it’s lavender.  I wanted a new purse for spring and I hope I like it!  Just waiting for it to finally ship 🙂  I love new purses!
I’ve seen this floating around blog land.  People are writing out something in their handwriting and comparing it to others.  I guess you can tell a lot about someone through their handwriting.  Mine is sort of sloppy I guess….but I think mine changes on and off throughout the day just depending on how lazy I am.  Go see other’s handwriting HERE.
We have a walking fool on our hands…
And here he is sporting the mug of his new BFF Elmo.
Connor decided it would be a good idea to take EVERY.SINGLE.WIPE. out of his wipe warmer last night and throw them all over his room!  He also likes to take ALL of his clothes out of the drawers in his closet.
Never a dull moment I tell ya…never a dull moment…..
Reading lots of books and we visited Daddy’s favorite store Best Buy
Did I mention my 10 year anniversary is coming up???
Of course I would love a 2 carat anniversary ring buahaaahaahaaa!!!!
But just in case that doesn’t work out I am loving this lovely 🙂
David Yurman Ring
My sweet sister sent me this shirt from H&M for $7 ya’ll!
It’s so cute with all the frilly flowers on it 🙂
Look at these cute shoes!  I never know what size to get for babies.
The ones I’ve been buying lately always seem too small or too big!

Connor LOVES soft stuff to waller on….
