Fall Weekend

Yes – The title of this post is “Fall Weekend” because it’s FINALLY starting to feel like fall in the great state of Texas!!! I’m so excited and there are a bunch of things I’m really looking forward to doing this fall.
I want to carve a pumpkin, take Connor trick-or-treating, and I would also like to go to the Texas State Fair because I have never been before. I have got to try all that fried food!

Our weekend wasn’t too exciting. We caught up on some shows on our DVR. I am so excited we actually have good TV again 🙂 We pretty much just spent time together as a family and enjoyed the great weather.
Connor’s Nannie gave him this frog for the bathtub, but he LOVES to suck on the legs. He loves them so much that after I fed him his bottle Saturday morning he croaked because he stuck the legs too far down his mouth! He threw up everywhere….ick!

While we were out and about I found the new Bakerella cookbook
“Cake Pops”
This book is amazing and has such great photos

Look at these OWL cake pops!!!!

He’s on the move…world look out!!!
He’s been inch worming around all over the place

We also had dinner with Connor’s Great Granddaddy Saturday night and Grandma Nell 🙂
We love them so much & are so blessed to have them in our lives!

Of course the weekend involved Starbucks ya’ll!
The Starbucks Diva wall is still going strong!
Email your pics to beckylbranch@gmail.com
Speaking of coffee, in an effort to save a buck….
Terence and I got a Nespresso machine this weekend and we LOVE it!
You just put the little tabs in there and bada bing = espresso!!!
AND A WHOLE LOT CHEAPER THAN STARBUCKS!!!!
Of course I will still visit my fave coffee joint, but in these sad economical times I have to look for ways to save and still get my jump start in the morning. We went and purchased the vanilla syrup and caramel syrup from Starbucks, so it pretty much tastes exactly like the drink I get at Starbucks 🙂
These are all the different flavors of espresso

Also wanted to mention a new movie I am excited to see in 2011!
It’s called “Vamps” and stars Alicia Silverstone
INFO:

The feature film, Vamps, which reunites Alicia Silverstone with her Clueless director Amy Heckerling, is set to start shooting in Detroit this week.

Written and directed by Heckerling, the movie is about two beautiful vampires, Silverstone and Krysten Ritter, who are living the good life in New York until love enters the picture and each has to make a choice that will jeopardize her immortality.

Vamps also stars Sigourney Weaver, Richard Lewis, Wallace Shawn, Justin Kirk, Dan Stevens and Todd Barry.

The movie is being produced by Ben Stiller’s production company, Red Hour Films

Lots Going On!

We got Connor his first stocking 🙂
I know what you are thinking…I’m a little ahead of myself with the Halloween costume and now a Christmas stocking! I get so excited about this time of year it’s hard for me not to explode with anticipation sometimes! ha..ha..I know someone out there has to understand this???Right???
I have a new review/giveaway up on my review blog HERE

The other day Connor was really into his sweet potatoes so I kept on feeding him and he ate the ENTIRE jar! I was so excited because it’s been quite a challenge getting him to eat with a spoon. Well – We were up later that night because poor little guy threw up TWICE! I felt so sorry for him….it was just orange everywhere and I had to change his sheets both times.

Note to self: Don’t feed late at night and don’t over feed Connor boy!

Connor & I at Target the other day…thank the Lord for cart covers because he was drooling all over this thing! He loves to ride in the carts like a big boy now 🙂

I am LOVING this bag for sale right now at Zulily. I neeeeed it!!!
I’ve been wanting a big travel bag for some time now and this one looks awesome!

My booger is trying to stand a little bit!

Libman Mop Review

Welcome to my messy kitchen everyone!

I was asked by Mom Bloggers Club if I would like to review the new Libman Freedom Spray Mop & of course I said YES!

With a new baby I am constantly cleaning and scrubbing the floors. I’ve tried every kind of mop it seems, so I’m going to give you my honest opinion of this one. I have to say I really really liked it a lot! Some of the things I like about it are that you don’t have to buy a pre-made cleaning solution, you can just poor your own cleaner (whichever you prefer) into the mop. I use a separate cleaner for wood floors in my home. Also, the mop pad really scrubbed my floors! It didn’t just graze the surface like a lot of similar mops do. The cleaner sprayed evenly and I felt like my floors had a good cleaning, it was light weight and very easy to use.

Above is the scrub pad
Here I am scrubbing away!
This mop was so light weight I literally flew around the kitchen 🙂
The cleaning compartment was very easy to remove and fill
The Libman Freedom Mop was very easy to maneuver in and out of all those tight places!

Some of the great features about the Libman Freedom Spray Mop:

■Freedom to choose any cleaning solution you want to put in: Your favorite cleaner, plain water, environmentally friendly solution etc. Removable bottle for easy filling.

■Freedom from costly and wasteful disposable pads- reusable microfiber pad can be machine washed up to 50 times. Safe on all flooring surfaces.

■Freedom from batteries- trigger sprayer allows you to control how much liquid is coming out
Just grab and go, no heavy messy buckets to lug around

■Quality manufactured in the USA (Arcola, IL) by a 4th generation family owned company.

■Sold fully assembled in the mop and broom section of your favorite store

■The Freedom Spray Mop will be available at retailers nationwide beginning August 2010 with a suggested retail price of $19.99 to $24.99.

I’m also giving away (1) Libman Freedom Spray Mop

I Have No Patience

I could not wait to show you all Connor’s Halloween costume! I have absolutely no patience because I get too excited about this sort of thing. I’ve been waiting YEARS to dress my child in a costume and I finally get to do it! Here he is Connor the astronaut….

I think he looks precious! I just hope he doesn’t burn up because it is Texas and it usually doesn’t get cool here until mid-November. It’s also something that both Terence and I both agreed on.

Speaking of astronauts : “Houston we may have a problem on our hands!”
Future crawler alert!!!! And VERY soon!!!!
He’s been moving and shaking like crazy lately, I know he’ll be crawling in no time!
I found out this week they are building an In-N-Out Burger restaurant literally 5 minutes from where I work!!!! I have only been there a few times when I visited Bonnie in Vegas and it’s so good! In-N-Out here I come!!!
Although I may be more “IN” than “OUT” of there 😛
I hope you all are having a great week friends! XOXO – Becky

Out & About

Our weekends seem to fly by so fast these days. As I’m sitting her trying to recap what we did I am drawing a blank, but I am sure it will come to me! I have had a crazy day and I FORGOT Connor’s bottles on the counter this morning!!! I got all the way to my in-law’s house to drop him off and opened the back door to my car and my heart sank. I didn’t have enough time to go back so my sweet father in law drove all the way back to our house to pick them up so I could make it to work on time. I am so thankful for them and all they do for us! Connor is so lucky to have his Pop & Granna!

Terence has been pretty busy at work so on the weekend I try to make it as relaxing as possible for him. He went golfing with his friend this weekend and had a fun time! I think it’s good for all of us to get out and spend time with friends & have alone time every now and then….for our sanity!!! Ha..ha..
Connor & Mommy went to the Godiva store and got a Chocolixir drink and I tried the new “Chocolate Lava Cake” and the “Red Velvet Cake” truffle. They were both pretty good, but I think I will stick to my traditional extra dark chocolate. Remember to join the Godiva Rewards Club and you get a FREE truffle every month.

We ate lunch at Chitos. It’s a little Mexican place on the side of a gas station. I was a little scared when I heard about this place, but it was actually very nice and the customer service was excellent! I mean you can’t beat tacos for $1.00!!! And they were SO delish!

I am loving all the new hats at Baby Gap right now
Here is Connor trying on the lion hat
I-L-O-V-E-I-T!!!
“Hear me roar!”

This one is for Nana who loves penguins
I think he was tired of trying on hats at this point and kept yanking it off
And I’ll just let this shirt speak for itself!
ha..ha..too cute!

Friday Fun

I got Connor a trick or treat bag
Exciting stuff….I know….
Look who is trying his hardest to crawl
We’ve had lots of face plants lately!
“I can do it Momma!”

Nikon came out with their NEWEST beauty and I am drooling over it.
Introducing the Nikon D7000

For some reason he looks really startled in this picture???

Here is one of the only dishes I can cook decently
Lasagna….it was delish!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend friends!

Fall Decorating Love

I love this time of year! I get so excited when I see all the fall and Halloween items start to line the shelves in stores. It means Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner and I live for the cool crisp air, scarves, and decorating! We don’t celebrate the meaning of Halloween, but I have ordered a costume for Connor to wear (more for photos and memories) than anything else. You all know how I love to play dress up & sometimes I wonder if Connor even KNOWS how lucky he is that we had a boy or I would go a little over board! I’m in the mood to make some pumpkin bread & sit with a cup of coffee and go through festive holiday magazines….anyone with me??? I absolutely LOVE the cake stands above

The banner and salt & pepper shakers are so cute

I wish I could properly make a pom pom out of tissue paper, every time I try it looks like a blob of crumbled paper 🙁

HAPPY DECORATING FRIENDS!
