And….

It’s been a great week! We’ve had lots of rain and cooler temps here in Texas. I’m actually not getting pit stains every time I walk out the door. It’s amazing. It gets so hot here during the summer and the city usually enforces water restrictions in the summer, so I’m glad we got rain and can water our grass.
I also got this lovely Toyota #Highlander delivered right to my front door with a full tank of gas courtesy of Dallas Toyota. I love this ride so much I may not give it back! It’s loaded with all the bells and whistles. It’s fancy schmancy….maybe one day when I win the lotto I can buy one 🙂 Until then I’m going to enjoy every minute in my pimp wagon.
I bought this Christmas smocked long all for Connor last year. I’m thinking it may not fit him by Christmas this year. It is really long in the legs and it’s SO cute! He’s just a super tall kiddo. It’s a size 4 NWT $25 shipped if you want it. Leave me your name and paypal email in the comments section.
At school this week they had a petting zoo for all the kiddos. Connor just loved it! He got to feed a turkey, play with bunnies, and feed a goat too!
I saw these drawings on Zulily today. They are by and Etsy store called trafalgarssquare. How whimsical and cute are these! So adorbs.
Yesterday was national relaxation day. Did y’all know that? We had a fun time at work pretending like we were in the tropics 🙂
And last, but not least. This picture is absolutely one of my FAVORITE fall photos. I found it a long time ago on the internet and I always set it as my screen saver because it just makes me think of cool weather, pumpkins, cider, boots, sweaters, scarves, and holiday coffee drinks being in the near future.
HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A BLESSED WEEKEND!!!!

Thank you to neuro BLISS for sponsoring this post and providing the product sample.
Life can get so stressful. I know you know what I’m talking about. Between family, work, and other commitments I have very little me time. Every now and then I do get a few moments to myself to relax in perfect bliss. My idea of me time usually consists of watching my favorite TV shows, taking pictures (randomly) not because I have to, eating ice cream with no regrets, or an iced coffee 🙂 A night out on the town with my hubby is fun and something we don’t get to do much anymore. Eating a Godiva cheesecake=Heaven! Dinner and a movie with girlfriends….
But, my most blissful moment in life so far has been the moment I found out I was pregnant with Connor. I knew in that moment my life was going to change forever. I can’t explain the overwhelming joy and emotion I felt during this time. I’ll never ever forget it. Here’s a picture of my moment of bliss:
July 2009
You get what I’m saying?
These are the moments in life we live for. The blissful times we want to share and never forget. I have shared on this blog before how I struggle with anxiety and depression. Yes, I’m medicated…blah blah blah….I stress way to much and over analyze everything! It’s ridiculous. That’s just who I am and it’s something I’ll probably struggle with for the rest of my life. One thing I never want to forget to do is realize what a blessing this life is and to cherish every moment!
I do use methods to help myself calm and relax. I do yoga, breathing exercises, and essential oils. Well, recently I got to try a new beverage from Neuro BLISS. It’s a yummy drink that helps reduce stress and promote relaxation. When I first tried it I really didn’t expect much, because I have a high stress level and I just didn’t think it would do anything. The flavor was very refreshing…the only thing I can think of is the phrase “sea breeze”. It’s light and sweet. About an hour later I really noticed a difference. I AM NOT KIDDING. I don’t know if I was just having a good day, but I really did feel more relaxed.

Here is some info Neuro drinks recently conducted a study that surveyed more than 1,200 consumers:
The findings revealed that:Nearly 50 percent of Americans spend at least half their daily lives stressed out. The cure for stress varies, with 89 percent agreeing that a night out on the town does little for stress relief. More than half admit a vacation is what they need the most, while a quarter of the respondents say personal time would help treat the stress.

This summer has flown by. We are in the midst of a thunderstorm right now and I’m so glad, we need the rain badly. It seems like school starts earlier and earlier each year. Not that I had off this summer or anything….but I’m just saying that when I was in school it was September before we headed back??? We have tickets to the circus on Friday and OMG Connor is going nuts just thinking about it! Every morning he wakes up and asks if the circus is here yet. Also, dang circus tickets are expensive! Seriously, for three of us to go it costs more than a weeks worth of groceries….and that’s not even front section seats or anything. Gulp.
Anyway……..
Another thing about this summer has been the ice cream truck. EVERY.TIME.I.HEAR.THAT.MUSIC. I want to turn around and speed 80 miles an hour in the opposite direction just to avoid a fit. I’m such a horrible mother you know because apparently Connor is the only kid who doesn’t get ice cream every time the ice cream truck rolls up. BUT- I have caved a few times and let him pick out something 🙂 Last time he picked out a Shrek popsicle. Can you just see the adoring look on his face??? If ice cream doesn’t buy you love I don’t know what will.

“Look Mom I ate his eyeballs out of his head!!!! Ha ha ha ha!!!!!”
Boy Mom…fo’shizzle.
I love you kiddo. We are looking forward to taking you to the circus. Your face better like up like a million bucks literally…..
No…just kidding.
No really.
I’ll update on our circus experience soon 🙂
I know I use way too many smiley faces, dot, dot, dots, and explanation points…..BUT I CAN’T STOP! Blah.

Connor has been very interested in dinosaurs lately. He’s been studying plant life and dinosaurs in pre-school and loves playing dinos with all his friends. This weekend we made a fun snack involving dinosaurs, we called them “dino nests”.
I let Connor eat one and then he wanted to get out his dinosaurs and try to steal the eggs! Ha ha! The imagination of a 3-year-old 🙂
Okay, so let me show y’all how I made them:

Here is our herd of dino nests. All the Mommy dinosaurs are protecting their little eggs.
Oh no! Here comes T-Rex!!!
Thankfully stegosaurus is a vegetarian
He loved this snack and it was super yummy too! I had one as well, it’s the perfect mix of salty and sweet.
The dinosaurs have eaten their fill and so did we. We loved making our dino egg nests and hope you’ll try them too!
You can pick up all these ingredients at your local Walgreens

We’ve had a pretty easy-going weekend. Can I just say I am sooooooo ready for fall weather? I know some people like the heat, but I am just not meant to sweat. I love me some scarves, boots, and sweaters! Yesterday we went over to Terence’s parents house to celebrate our beloved Granddaddy’s 87 birthday. They just don’t come like Granddaddy anymore, a true gentleman in every sense of the word. We love you so much Granddaddy and so glad we got to celebrate with you! It’s truly a blessing to get together every weekend with all the cousins. As the family grows and the dining table stretches to new lengths, it’s amazing to see all these kids grow up. I miss my family back home in Arkansas, but I am so thankful we BOTH have such great families surrounding us.
All the kids playing outside
Can I just have 1/10 of this energy please???

Our nephew Levi
Hannah is the oldest of the bunch. She just turned the big 13. She was trying to teach everyone how to play musical chairs. They lasted one round, then the chairs went away and there were losers…..sigh….

In other fun news….Fort Worth got a brand spanking new sparkly, shiny, HUGE new Container Store. I got to pop in on my lunch break and take a sneak peek of the new store. It was so much bigger than our previous store and if you know me then you know my love for all things organizational and office supplies. 🙂 It is my happy place. The Container Store gals that gave us a tour were amazing and such nice people! I’m sorry I couldn’t stay longer, but I sure did enjoy getting a look inside this new organizational paradise. I’ll be back SOON!
Here are some more pictures of the new store:

Boot shapers, who knew? These will keep your boots look great for fall!
Love the Elfa system. I’ve talked about it before on the blog. We did Connor’s closet with Elfa. His room is not that big, so having the shelving and storage in his closet really frees up space for playing with toys.

Love this office area. The magazine racks and pegboard are so cool!

If you are looking for a makeup organizer, these are supposed to be like the ones the Kardashians use.

My favorite isle. The gift wrap isle…especially around Christmas time. I could spend HOURS looking through all the fun paper.

Kitchen goods
My dream is to one day have a craft room. If we ever get the extra space I’d love to have an area like this to put all my knick knacks and things. I’m always putting them all over the place (basically wherever I can find a spot) and lose track of where all my craft goodies are. Love this idea!
I’m going back for this beauty. A lucite tape dispenser. One of my friends on Instagram commented that it would be good for washi tape. That is such a cute idea!
Some other lovely local Fort Worth bloggers 🙂 It was so nice to meet you all!!!
I’ll be back soon for more fun Container Store….prepare yourself!
Thank you for your hospitality and the fun sneak peek inside this store.
I hope you all are having a great weekend!
xoxo

I recently bought a new foundation to try it out. It’s called Benefit “Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow”
It is supposed to be light, airy, and give you a brighter appearance without looking too caked on.
It is extremely light, I will say that. It’s very liquid-y. If you pump it too hard you’ll end up using too much because it comes out so fast (so be careful!) I was happy with the coverage & the fact it has SPF 25. It felt light and it did brighten up my skin. You can still see all my freckles, but I also don’t want to look like I have a caked on finished. Benefit Hello Flawless did give me that glowing effect. Overall, I’m pretty happy with it! Now, I just need to find a concealer I am happy with 😉 Any suggestions?
