If you’ve never heard of Petit Jean Bacon or meat products you are missing out my friends. Most of you know that I am from Arkansas…and I grew up eating Petit Jean meats. Petit Jean is close to my hometown of Conway, AR. 
I was thrilled to find out they are the “official bacon for the Dallas Cowboys”. I now live in the DFW area and it’s nice to have a little feeling of home with me here. If you’ve never tried Petit Jean Bacon OMG is all I have to say. It is the bomb diggidy and you must go out to Wal-Mart and getcha some! It’s SOOOOOO much better than any other bacon out there….maybe I am a bit biased, but you won’t know until you’ve tried it.
So last night for dinner I made one of our household favorites. The ultimate BLT. I fried up some Petit Jean Hickory Smoked Bacon…..
Sizzle…sizzle…pop…pop!!!
The only thing I wish I had to add was avacado….so YUM on BLTs.
Extra crispy bacon is how we like it in our house

We had a pretty chill weekend. Terence and I have started watching a show called “The Killing” on Netflix. My Mom recommended it. It’s a really good mystery and crime drama. Season 3 premiered last night and I am recording that on DVR.
Saturday morning I woke up and went to a photo shoot for the Fort Worth Mom Blog’s new site. I’m so excited to be a contributor to their website, all the girls were so nice. If you haven’t checked it out you can find it HERE.
I’m hating my hair right now. It’s so hard to remain patient and let it grow out. It’s not growing out pretty either….UGH. My sister gave me some stuff for my hair and I am LOVING it. It’s called “It’s a 10 Miracle Leave in + Keratin” I can definitely tell a difference in my hair lately.
Speaking of hair…this little guy got his fro cut this weekend. I told her to go easy. I am a tad bit attached to those curls and I didn’t want them all chopped off! 
He just LOVES going to school and that makes my heart so happy. He’s always talking about his friends and doing fun crafts….my baby boy is growing up!
We also attended the wedding of Terence’s cousin Macy & her husband Matt….it was such a beautiful wedding!!!
My Birchbox left something to be desired….the Cargo blush came all crumbled up and was completely ruined. They were nice enough to credit my account 100 points. I was so disappointed though 🙁

My new Maybook arrived yesterday and I love it. I’m still the kind of person that has to write everything down. I just cannot do it on my phone…I love WRITING it down. I couldn’t live without my Maybook. They’ve done lots of new things to update them and lots of new designs so check them out!
My co-workers took me to lunch yesterday for my birthday….they are so precious! So blessed.
Had such a good time in AR visiting with my BFF’s since 6th grade….LOVE THEM. I miss you girls so much!

A couple of weeks ago we met our friends Adam & Christa for a canoe ride down the Trinity river in Fort Worth. A local outdoors store does this on the weekends and you can rent a canoe or a kayak and it’s SO much fun! My boys love to be outdoors: camping, hiking, boating, you name it they want to do it. My girly girl self has had to get used to being in the outdoors. It’s not that I don’t like being outside….it’s just I HATE bugs! Ick!
If you live in Texas then you remember the West Nile plague that hit us last summer. I was afraid to walk out my front door without spray. I couldn’t even watch the news because it was so scary! I definitely didn’t want my little boy being exposed to West Nile and getting sick. At his age all he wants to do is play outside. Protecting your skin from bug bites and getting eaten alive is super important.Read More
