The Java Mama’s Favorite Things + {Super Fab Maybook Giveaway!}

I know you all have heard of Maybooks right?  Well, if you haven’t then you MUST hear about them now!  I got a Maybook a few months ago and since then I have been telling ALL my friends about them.  They are so bright and stylish.  Maybooks are also very light and easy to take with you anywhere.
In my busy life I have to keep a planner and schedule of everything or I tend to forget.  Maybooks has a weekly agenda feature that I use a lot to schedule blog posts and daily activies.  I like how you can keep that seperate from your monthly calendar as well.  It’s less clutter.

Here is a glimpse at the monthly calendar view:

Connor Elf would like to give one away to a Java Mama reader today!!!

Woohoo!

Ugly Christmas Sweater Day

We had our 2nd annual ugly Christmas sweater day at work Friday.  Luckily, Kindra’s future mother-in-law was a 3rd grade teacher so she brought the mother load of ugly Christmas sweaters for us all to choose from!

Kindra, Mimi, and Dawn.  Aren’t they so pretty..ugly?
I bedazzed my sweater a little bit more 🙂

I also got this awesome t-shirt from Donkey Tees.  It has one of my favorite Christmas movie quotes on it….ha ha!  I love Home Alone, A Christmas Story, and Christmas Vacation.  Those are all musts!  Donkey Tees has some of the funniest shirts!

I have one of these shirts to giveaway to a reader!!!

Action Shot Camera Fun!

We recently got to try an Action Shot Cam in our house.  You all know how I love to take pictures, and I’ve been wanting to take more videos as well!  Chasing around a two year old can be “action packed” in itself.  Connor and I decided to give the camera a little whirl in the video above.  We like to spin around in the chair and get dizzy! Ha ha!

I had the camera attached to my head the whole time.  It’s very lightweight and easy to use.  I think we’ll have a lot of fun using it when Connor gets a bit older and into sports.  Now that will be some pretty cool video.  You can pretty much mount the Action Shot Cam anywhere…on a bike, on a boat, and even on YOU!

If you have an action packed sports lover in your life the Action Shot Camera would make a great Christmas gift.  Check out their website here for lots of cool videos showing what the Action Shot Camera can do.

This is an older picture of Connor’s room, but you can see how awesome they look.

 Another print from Tara’s shop:

And (IF) I had a girl someday I just ADORE these prints!

Crazy Christmas Stuff I’ve Seen Lately

Lately when shopping through the stores I’ve notices several things that are “questionable” Christmas items.  I mean seriously???  Do people really buy/do this???  It’s hilarious and I love to see all the crazy that is out there!

#1 Santa in a tub….Yeah I guess Santa has to bathe too.  But in your front yard? Ha ha!

#2 While looking for an ugly Christmas sweater on EBay the other day I ran across this gem:

#3 Who would do this??? Ewe….just ewe.

#4 Pringles in sweet flavors….uhm….yeah.  Anyone tried these?

 #5 A palm tree Christmas

#6 The politically correct Santa and baby Jesus…we don’t know…I’ve never seen Jesus!

#7 Walked by this car in a parking lot the other day….funny and kinda cute?

 Random phone picture dump…..
See this is a typical picture with a 2 year old.
They don’t all turn out good unless you offer chocolate or dangle candy in from of them!

This is how Connor woke up the other day.  He rolled in the bathroom with his sunglasses on his motorcycle.  I love this kid.

Our first baby was a boxer.  We went to Barnes & Noble the other day and saw these boxer babies….sooooo cute!  Santa I want one!!!

And finally, Connor trying to get $$$ to feed his piggy.  Good luck with that Connor….ha ha!

What crazy Christmas things have you seen lately?

Christmas Decor Home Tour 2012

I’m not the best decorater in the world, but I love the feel of our home at Christmas time.
Here is our tree.
I changed it up from the last few years where we had a blue and silver tree.

All the Santa pictures 🙂
Little Debbie Christmas trees

Ornaments…including a LOT of Starbucks cups!

Christmas card holder is filling up!
I love going to the mailbox every day!

These suspenders were mine when I was a little girl.  They have a little boy playing soccer on them.  I think they are more appropriate for Connor.  So cute!  They are from Germany 🙂
