Eclos Skin Care {Giveaway}

I’ve been using éclos Skin Care for a couple weeks now and I can really tell a difference in the texture of my skin.  It’s smoother and I love the Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream.  It left my skin feeling moisturized, without a greasy feeling.  I also felt like I was doing something good for my skin because all the products are derived from plant extracts and are natural.

30 in 30

Today I’m linking up with From My Grey Desk for the “30 outfits in 30 days” challenge.   You are supposed to take 30 items from your closet and make 30 outfits from them. It’s a way to challenge yourself to be creative and rethink your wardrobe while trying to avoid shopping.

So here is what I chose, I mixed a top I would normally wear to work with some jeans.  Usually when I go shopping I have to ask myself “Can I wear that to work too?”  I don’t want to spend my $$$ on something I can just wear on weekends!

Jeans: Joe’s Jeans from Anthropologie *Good if you have big badonkadonk*
Necklace: Long pearls from Forever 21 *Cheapies but good ones!*
Shoes: I ordered from Zulily. They are flats with a flower on them. I love them!  A brand called Pineapple shoes???

So that was pretty good with just FOUR items 🙂

Ugh…I’m not the best “model”.  Unfortunately I’m 5’3″ and need to lose about 30 lbs…but alas….

Also remember last week when I was looking for new glasses.  Well, I’ve seen some bloggers talking about a company called Warby Parker.  You can get 5 pairs of glasses shipped to you for free to try on.  The best part is they are only $95 with prescription & for every pair sold they donate a pair to someone in need.  I’m not sure about any of these though?  What do you think???

I just think they are too big for my face or something?  Maybe I’m not meant to wear “statement glasses”………..

Father’s Day 2012

We had a fab Father’s Day weekend!
We are so blessed to have Terence.  He’s the best Dad and Hubby ever.  God has truly blessed us with him and he takes such good care of us.  I know I don’t tell him enough how thankful I am for him and how much I love him.  But honey….I love you and you and Connor are my heart.
Aren’t Terence’s new glasses so GQ?  I love them 🙂
He was so nervous ya’ll….but I think they really are nice on him.

We had a nice lunch over at T’s parent’s house with family and all the kids got to play together.  It’s SOOOOOO hot in Texas right now.  Although, it is a lot cooler than last summer…..so far!

We are so thankful for our Dads, Grandpas, Uncles, and brothers…all the father figures in our lives.

And here is my Daddy holding my sister and I.  Bless his heart.  TWO BABIES.  I cannot imagine.  I am constantly telling my Mom & Dad I don’t know how they did it…but thank you thank you!!!!

My precious Daddy.  He is such a teddy bear.  He has the kindest heart of anyone you’ll meet.  He’s giving, and always puts others before himself.  He loves my Mom with all his heart after all these years I can still see how much he loves her and tries to please her.  My Daddy is always sending me little cards in the mail to remind me how much he loves me and how proud he is of me.  He’s my cheerleader and is not just my Dad, but my friend and I feel like I can talk to him about anything.  My Dad always holds a special place in my heart.  I LOVE YOU SWEET DADDY!

BIRCHBOX JUNE 2012

I loved the fun Ziploc baggy.  Not sure what I’ll use that for?  Also-not sure what I’ll used the blender cleanser for since I’ve already used my Blender and I’m not paying $25 for a new one.  It does say you can use it to clean regular makeup brushes though??? 
I tried the self tanning towel.  Overall I got great coverage, still some streaks but it was easy to apply.


The Staniac sort of reminds me of Benefit Benetint….and I actually like that one better.
Overall this month’s box was GOOD!  I love getting my little surprise in the mail every month!

Our Master Bedroom

Linking up again this week with Kelly’s Korner “Show us your Life” series.
Today is MASTER BEDROOM
I have to say our master bedroom is probably the ONE room in our house we haven’t done anything to.  One day I’d like to get a nice bedroom set…but I would rather do other things with that moolah.  And honestly I don’t mind not having a fancy headboard!
BUT- I would like some curtains.  You know for my 4pm naps on Saturdays when the light is shining in???  Yeah curtains are next on my list!  Suggestions???
So here it is :

Terence’s dresser from when he was a kid….we just painted it a different color.
My dresser is in our closet…which I am not going to show.  Trust me, you don’t want to see that mess!

I love these crystal lamps from Restoration Hardware.  We hit the jackpot with these babies.  A store was closing in our area, so we basically got two lamps for the price of one!

And this is where Connor sits and watches his movies.  Currently we are loving Madagascar 2.  Hopefully we will venture out to see the 3rd film this weekend!  It will also be his first movie…so we will see how that goes!

Can’t wait to tour all your homes!

It’s Great When…

It’s great when you walk in the door from work & your husband (who works from home) is still on a conference call.  Then your 2 year old goes and gets his dinosaurs and at the top of his lungs screams “ROAR” “ROAR” “ROAR” over and over and OVER.  Terence was freaking out and had to explain that his kid was nutso to the guy on the other line
. 
So I sent him to his room.  I heard him in there still making roaring noises.  Well, flash forward 10 minutes later and it looked like a tornado hit up in there.  He knocked everything over in his room and totally destroyed it!  Not to mention he pulled up the train tracks on his train table….that were NAILED DOWN!!!!

HOW IN THE WORLD???

 

I ordered Smashbox ultimate liquid liner.
Apparently it’s waterproof…I’ve been wearing the same eyeliner for 3 days.
Is that even normal?

Scored this adorable wooden flying sign at Pottery Barn Kids for 1/2 off last weekend!
I want T to hang it today because tomorrow is tour of homes again and it’s KIDS ROOMS.
So I would like to take some pics of his room….but that means I’ll have to clean it first. oy.

Tomorrow is Friday thank you Lord!
