Lots of Things on My Mind….

I’m loving the cooler weather (FINALLY!)  Texas is like living in the desert….I want to live some place cooler.  I could wear my fleece pullovers year around and be a happy person!
It’s footie pajama season ya’ll!

I also enjoy eating soup during the winter months.  This is my favorite soup ever.  It’s cheesy potato carrot soup, my great grandmother’s recipe.  It’s basically just chicken stock, some bay leaves, a can of carrots, 7-8 potatoes, water, cheese, and milk.  SO GOOD!

I LOVE this drink dispenser I ordered from Zulily!  It’s so pretty….and perfect for apple cider 🙂

I got my Birchbox in the other day.  I’ve seen a lot of other people post theirs, and I have to say I liked their boxes better :/  Mine didn’t have the nail polish or the chocolate in it??? What gives?

Regardless everything in the box is always worth over the $10 a month you pay!  And I love trying out new beauty products 🙂

I GOT:  Lotion, perfume, hair oil, lip gloss, more lotion, and some paper coasters….

It’s RED CUP time at Starbucks!
And look what else there is….Peppermint Brownie cake pops!
I haven’t tried this goody yet, but you better believe I will soon!
Tonight I get to help host the grand opening of the new Hanna Andersson store in Frisco!

Yay!

If you live in the DFW area come on by….you just need to RSVP with your info below!

I’d love to meet some of you and it will be a good time!

The day is fast approaching…the day we’ve all been waiting for!

BREAKING DAWN PART 1

As most of you know I am an official Twilight freak or “Twitard” as some people say.  I am a bit obsessed with these books and I love all the movies as well.  It’s the ultimate romantic story, filled with drama, battle, and love all in one!  I MUST go see this movie this weekend, it’s not even a question of “if” it’s when 🙂

Me and my twinkie in our Edward sandwich 🙂

1. Are you going to see Breaking Dawn at the midnight release?

No- I have a 20 month old kid…but I will go as soon as I can break away 🙂
2. Scene you’re most looking forward to in Breaking Dawn?

Isle of Esme….enough said.

3. Team Edward or Jacob?

Team Edward baby

4. Favorite book in the Saga?

Breaking Dawn

5. Favorite character in the series and why?

Bella- I guess because I can relate to her on some levels, other times she annoys me…then I think “that’s one lucky gal to have Edward!”

6. Why do you love Twilight?

It’s the Romeo and Juliet of our time.  The ultimate love story.  When I first heard about the Twilight series I thought “I’m not really into vampires???  Why is this so popular?”  The books suck you in and I read all 4 in less than two weeks.  It’s not really about vampires, more of a love story.  I am not an avid reader, but with these books it was unstoppable!
7. Are the books or movies better?

Books

8. What do you dislike about the series?

I loved the entire series, I just wish Stephenie Meyer would continue writing Midnight Sun.  You can read a partial draft online HERE.  It’s the same story line as Twilight, only from Edward’s point of view.  Loved that read!

9. Your craziest fan moment.

I don’t really have one :/
10. Do you have a Twilight collection?

No.

You can read about an awesome Twilight Party I attended HERE!  The cake was awesome!

Now all you Twilight fans go link up!

Things I’ve Made Using Pinterest-Christmas Edition

I made the banner on Pinterest I wrote about yesterday.  It turned out really cute, all it took was some card stock, scissors, and ribbon!

I put up my tree this past weekend.  I was off of work, board, and had nothing to do….so I decided to take full advantage of free time.  Plus Kindra and I are hosting a Christmas wreath making party on Saturday so I wanted it to feel like Christmas while we got our craftiness on!

The bottom is a little scarce because Connor already broke a few ornaments.
I had to shift them all up this year 🙂

Helping Momma decorate

Oh so innocent….

The stockings are hung

Nick knacks are out and about

I framed some seasonal pictures and printed off the subway art tree from Pinterest & framed it!

Now I just have to keep this little booger out of the tree….

Getting My Merry Christmas Started….

I really want to make a Christmas banner like the ones below.  I don’t have a fancy cutter machine, but I think I can cut those letters out by hand just fine!

One of my favorite things this time of year is chocolate advent calendars.  I saw some the other day at the grocery store and grabbed one for me Connor.  He may or may not need another one because I got into it…..I ate all his chocolate.  Bad Momma : /

And I posted this on Facebook the other day.  Look how teeny weeny these french fries are.  They were in Connor’s happy meal.  TINY!

Hope you all have a great Monday!

Our Day in the Parade

Connor and I were invited to be in a parade today!  We got to ride on the Hanna Andersson truck and wave to everyone.  We also got to wear pretty Hanna Andersson clothes….oh my gosh how I love this store!  Everything in it is SO cute!

As you can see it was SUPER windy today!
Connor got a new coat from Hanna Andersson and it came in very useful today 🙂
Brrrrr……

Here is our sign

Fun in the hay!
We had a great day and thank you for having us Hanna Andersson 🙂
