We’ve had a pretty uneventful week. It’s just been hotter than heck here. My Mom is still in Vegas visiting my sister and I think my Dad is getting pretty lonely. Dad sent me and Connor the sweetest cards in the mail yesterday. I have the best parents ever 🙂
Because it’s been so hot we’ve had lots of baths this week. This is C’s favorite thing at night…he loves his baths!

Whenever we gave Connor bread to throw to the ducks he would just eat it! So the ducks didn’t get any love from him 😛
I received some samples of Shakeology the other day from my friend Michelle. I tried the chocolate one first, being the chocoholic that I am! It was quite tasty and rich. I liked it and it was VERY filling!
I but a banana and some peanut butter in with mine like she suggested and it was delish!
Lord knows I need to go on a diet! The other day we took Connor to the park and one of the other moms asked “Are you expecting your second?” HECK NO!!!! Who in their right mind asks someone else that??? I was so embarrassed & I’m sure I turned red. I am obviously not preggers….but it did hurt my feelings a lot. People just need to watch what they say 🙁
Knorr now makes these new concentrated stock containers, which can be diluted in almost any liquid – including milk, juice, or water. Each tub makes 3 1/2 cups of broth, so it’s a better value than the can.
* 1 bag frozen (steam in the bag) mixed vegetables
* 2 cups cooked chicken
* 1/2 a container Knorr Homestyle Stock
* 1/2 C. milk
* 1/3 C. flour
* 1 stick of butter
* 1 tsp. pepper
* 1 can crescent dinner rolls
DIRECTIONS
In a sauce pan cook Knorr Homestyle stock, milk, flour, and butter until it’s thick and well mixed
Cube chicken & in large bowl, mix vegetables, chicken and liquid mixture together. Pour into greased muffin tin.
Roll out crescent dough and cover each veggie muffin & bake at 375 for about 15 minutes
It sort of looks like a mardi gras cake or something. It’s definitely NOT perfect, but it was fun and tasted great! I always like to add a little bit of almond extract to my icing and cake. It makes all the difference 😉
