Dinner with Friends

We celebrated our friend Jenne’s birthday at a cute little mexican restaurant in Grapevine.  I’ve never been to that part of town and it was so cute!  We ate indoors because it’s 105 degrees outside!  Whew!  Taking Connor to restaurants these days is quite an adventure because he doesn’t want to sit still.  It’s so nice to get out and “hang” with other people.  Terence may or may not have had too many blue margaritas 😛

I got Birchbox #3 in the mail.  I love this program it is AWESOME-NESS!  For $10.00 a month you get a box full of makeup/skin care products.  I mean some of this stuff I wouldn’t even consider a sample size because it’s a full size product 🙂

I also got some of this Moroccan Argan Oil from Ulta.  I’ve heard a lot about Moroccan oil from Twitter friends so I thought I would try it out.

Have any of you ever used these tan towels? 
I am SO white….so I’ll see how this works.

What a Mess!

Did ya’lls pantry throw up like mine did after you had a kid?  I think I need two more of these storage cabinets to handle all the snacks and food we consume these days.  I need some serious organizational skills a.s.a.p.  I am OCD so this is driving me nutso!

Terence and I are doing pretty good dieting this week.  Every night we’ve had a baked chicken breast and some veggies for dinner.  I have a light spinach salad for lunch.  I am starving by bedtime, but it will all be worth it right?  If I am just dying for a sweet snack I LOVE these Nature Valley granola thins.  They are soooo good!
Connor has been enjoying his fruit as well.  I found these adorable boxer briefs at The Childrens Place when I was visiting in AR.  My Mom bought them for him….they are so cute & make it harder to pull that diaper off!
I also got Connor a little fold up chair at Buy Buy Baby yesterday.  I love that place and am so addicted to it right now!  I like how you can use Bed Bath & Beyond coupons for your items as well.  I figured he could use this during the summer or on 4th of July out looking at fireworks.

I mentioned before I’ve gone back to Blondie.  It’s still not as light as I wanted it, but I’ll keep working on it.  I used this hair color last night and I liked the foam aspect of it, I don’t think the color was as deep as a normal hair dye is though???  Anyone else tried the foam?

While out and about this weekend I spotted these boots.

Terence found some “geezer glasses” like my Dad wears.  They are glasses you wear over your regular glasses.  It’s so funny I made him try them on 🙂

Summer Summer Summer Time!

It’s been a hot one around these parts let me tell ya!  Yesterday we were out and of course I was wearing a silk shirt and had sweat dripping all down my back, that was attractive I am sure!  I end every sentence on this blog in an exclamation point.  I know this.  It’s because every sentence I am exclaiming something and I don’t have good grammar skillz okay? 

This weekend has been pretty chill, which doesn’t bother me one bit because I like to “just chill”.  We did the usual, park, grocery shop, watch some TV, and church.  Just enjoying the summer weather and spending time with the fam.   Of course I take my camera with me everywhere and I got some great pics at the park yesterday.  They should just embed the camera in my arm because I’m that attached to it.  So lil dude was really cooperative yesterday and let his sweaty Momma take some pictures 🙂
I think there should be a Baby GQ magazine & this could totally be the cover 😉

We started our healthy eating this weekend and so far we’ve both done well today!
Bring on the veggies and fruit….I’m ready to lose this muffin top!

Isn’t this beautiful and this time of year is the BEST time to go on a diet because there are so many fruits and veggies in season….so why not start now!
