Genghis Khan: The Exhibition follows the life of a poor, illiterate child as he becomes one of the world’s greatest conquerors and leaves a lasting imprint on modern-day culture. More than 200 artifacts including gold jewelry, weaponry, silk robes, currency, tomb treasures and more are displayed alongside video-screens, hands-on activity stations and role-playing kiosks to create an educational and historical experience for visitors of all ages.”

• Genghis Khan: The Exhibition features the largest collection of 13th century Mongolian artifacts ever assembled in a single showing.
• The exhibition features the recently uncovered mummy and tomb treasures of a Mongolian noble woman, nicknamed The Princess Giant because of her unusual height.
• The opening of Genghis Khan: The Exhibition marks the first time an exhibition of this scale has been on view at the Irving Arts Center and in the city of Irving.
• Genghis Khan: The Exhibition was produced by “Dino” Don Lessem, with curatorial consultation by leading Genghis Khan scholars Dr. William Fitzhugh of the Smithsonian Institution and Dr. Morris Rossabi of Columbia University. Lessem is an author, long-time science journalist and president of Exhibits Rex, Inc. More than 10 museums and private collections are represented including the National Museum of Mongolian History, the National Library of Mongolian and the Military Museum of Mongolia.

My gal pal Amber came and ate lunch with me today because she’s a loser and gets off work at 11:00 on Fridays.  We went to Chimy’s and OMG their nacho bar is da bomb.  Afterwards we went to J. Rae’s for a cupcake…and I know I’ve been complaining a lot about how I feel like a lard butt these days….but I swear it was her idea….she’s the preggo and all!  Love you Amber.  For realz.

 Also – At Chimy’s we sat right next to the Fort Worth Fire Dept.  Can you say HOT!!!

We don’t have much planned this weekend.  I honestly want to just chill out and relax with my family.  Maybe go running around a little bit.  Here’s my little dude at play…..

 He’s constantly on the move these days.  He busted his lip a few days ago and he’s constantly falling because he is still a bit wobbly.  I hope people don’t think we spank him like that because we DON’T!  He’s just a clumsy wumsy lil boy right now!

Can we just talk about this dress on Kate Middleton for just a sec?  I mean come on!  This chick looks fabulous in everything you put on her!  It’s like she has a fairy god mother or something and she just waves and magic wand and “voila” = Kate Middleton.  Everything looks good on her bony little frame….dang it Kate you are putting the rest of us to shame 😛  You get the Prince Charming and a wardrobe the rest of us gals would kill for…..

I know several people have said something about my “Donate” button on the right hand side bar.  Yes- Starbucks is expensive.  I don’t have the money to buy one every.single.day.  It is my crack and I am addicted.  I’ve never tried to hide that fact.  I LOVE ME SOME STARBUCKS.  Everyone has crutches right?  My family knows this, my friends, and co-workers.  Honestly I get a lot of Starbucks gift cards and I’m very lucky!  I thought if Save Karyn can do it on her website and pay off all her credit card debt then why can’t I have a Starbucks donation fund for people to help me out too!  I am not rich, I work a full time job, and I don’t claim to have a lot of money…but I do like Starbucks….and Starbucks makes my days a little happier & if you do help a sista out then awesomeness!   🙂

Yesterday we took Connor to his one year check up appt.  He’s only a few months late!  Ha..ha..
We changed pediatricians because we wanted to wait awhile before giving the MMR shot to Connor.  Our old pediatrician didn’t agree to that, so we switched.  We will get it eventually….judge us all you want….but I just wanted to wait a bit before diving into that controversial shot 😛

• Weight 23 pounds
• Head was in the 95% (HUGE BRAIN CHILD!)
• Length was 75%

My twinkie Bonnie sent me a birthday package in the mail a couple days ago.  I was so upset we didn’t get to spend our big 3-0 together 🙁  Being twins we pretty much did everything together so it’s been incredibly hard living so far apart.  I always imagined we would both get married, have our babies, and live next door to each other.  I guess life had other plans.  I always had a playmate, a partner in crime, and a best friend growing up.  I am so thankful God gave me a twin….it’s the best thing in the world!

(Please excuse the hottness below, I was in my jammies) Bonnie sent me a Twilight card (love), some nail polish – including the shatter polish, & some Frrrrrozen Hot Chocolate from Serendipity 3.  I forgot to post a picture with the 30 glasses so here it is….”cheers”!!!  I’m drinking my Frrrrrozen Hot chocolate 🙂

I’m a few days late on posting your 15 month update.  You are such a sweet boy and are so loving and cuddly still.  You love for Mommy & Daddy to give you sugars and tickles.  Connor, you have the best temperament….and are usually a perfect baby….except for the last few days you’ve been teething.  I understand it must hurt a lot!  I can’t imagine what it must feel like having teeth poke through those sensitive gums! 

You are still a very picky eater.  Your favorites are macaroni and cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches.  You pretty much like anything with cheese on it.  We are going to see a new pediatrician tomorrow because we still haven’t had your one year check-up.  There were some issues with the other one, so we’ll see how this new Doc is 🙂

You are the joy of our lives and we love watching your grow.  We pray that God will watch over you and steer your life in a direction honoring Him.
