Me & You & You & Me

This weekend Terence & I got to “officially” celebrate our anniversary. We dropped Connor off at my in-laws at 9 am and they were gracious enough to watch him until late that night. We drove to Dallas and walked around the mall some…. I didn’t buy anything but a pair of work pants that were on sale! Shocker! I did see some things at Brighton I loved though. We also saw SALT with Angelina Jolie. It was a pretty good movie, she’s a great female action star.

Here is our yummy dessert @ Italliani’s

We also HAD to go to Sprinkles Cupcakes
I have been begging to get some for months now 🙂

Of course we had our morning Starbucks run

Here is a pic of the delicious cupcakes
It didn’t take long to devour these!

On Sunday nights we have dinner with T’s family
We celebrated Granddaddy’s birthday Sunday evening
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR SPECIAL GRANDDADDY!!!
Connor & his BFF cousin Arielle

We also spent a lot of time snoozing and cuddling this weekend 🙂
(If you follow me on Twitter then you may have seen a lot of these pics already)
My good camera’s camera card went kaput so I had to get another one the other day

HOPE YOU ALL HAD A FABULOUS SUMMER WEEKEND!!!

It’s Friday Woohoo!!!

Mommy & Connor were goofing around with the camera last night
You can see we goofed off a lot!

Here is Connor “reading” his books

Nana would be so PROUD of him 🙂

He thinks he is something else

Trying to pick those black birds off the page

CROCK POT CHICKEN

As I mentioned yesterday I made some great shredded chicken.
One of my sister’s blog friends posted this recipe on her blog. I wish I had the link to it, but I don’t know where it is!

Place 4 chicken breasts in the crock pot on low

Top with a stick of butter & a few tbsp. of water

Leave on for the day and it should be ready by dinner time

I stuck a fork in mine and it was perfect and started to shred on it’s own

You can season it with anything you want, I used the Frank’s Hot Sauce

But DO NOT use as much as I did! It was WAAAAAY too hot!

Use sparingly as needed and taste test

TOMORROW :

– Terence and I are going to celebrate our anniversary. We are dropping Connor off with his parents and he may spend the night. I haven’t decided on that one yet.

– Hoping to go see a movie. Probably Salt or Inception.

– Visit Sprinkles Cupcakes

– Eat lunch and dinner somewhere

– Hit up the mall in Dallas for some shopping

What are your weekend plans???

Family of Goobers

Last night Ter-Bear & I spent our anniversary in our jammies eating Italian and watching a movie. Last year it was all about US and what we were going to do for ourselves. I’m so glad it’s not just about US anymore…but US as a family now. We also took some pics while playing around with our little “toot toot” that is what my Papa used to call me & Bonnie.
I got this purple lips bazooka thing you put in your mouth and it makes a loud noise. Connor started freaking out and crying, but eventually he started laughing at it.

I’ve been trying to cook more things in the crock pot and I finally learned how to make that good shredded chicken that you can find at Mexican restaurants. It’s so good! I think I’ll post about that tomorrow.
What are your favorite crock pot recipes?
He sure does like to play with his Daddy
He’s a little rougher than I am…I guess that is just boys!
Being goofy
Bye! Bye!
I was peeking around the corner of the doorway and surprising him 😛

5 Months

Happy 5 months sweet boy You are learning to grasp for things now and want to hold your own bottle
You love to feel your Daddy’s whiskers with your feet
You smile and giggle when Mommy chases you
You love for us to read you books, especially “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom”
You are so curious about everything and don’t want to sit still anymore
Still love to drooooool all over everything 🙂
Your favorite song is “You are my Sunshine”

We love you sweet boy!
Don’t grow up toO fast now…

HAPPY 9TH ANNIVERSARY TERENCE!!!
I LOVE YOU TODAY MORE THAN EVER & YOU ARE THE DADDY I ALWAYS KNEW YOU WOULD BE! I’M SO BLESSED TO HAVE YOU MY LOVE!

(We plan on celebrating Saturday because it’s hard to do anything in the middle of the week)

Hope you all are having a good week!

Remember…..

TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!

Bridal Photos 2001

I thought I’d share with you some of my bridal portraits. Terence and I will celebrate our 9 year wedding anniversary tomorrow and I’ve been meaning to scan most of the pictures from our wedding into the computer, but I always seem to put it off. As you can see dress styles have changed a lot over the years! I love the TV show “Say Yes to the Dress” I can’t imagine spending $10K-$30K on a wedding gown that is ridiculous!!! I think we paid $299 for my dress & it’s just sitting in a Rubbermaid box in the attic. I know Connor won’t want it and his bride will probably have her own style someday. I saw Chelsea Clinton’s wedding dress on People.com the other day and it’s SO pretty! I love looking at wedding dresses still to this day 🙂

It’s Gonna Be a Scorcher

We had a great weekend and as always it was a whirlwind and goes by so fast. The temperatures here have been well over 100 degrees and are going to continue to be for at least the next week. I cannot WAIT until fall right now. I hate to sweat or anything having to do with hot weather. I’m looking forward to taking Connor to the pumpkin patch and dressing him up for Halloween 🙂 Do you think it’s stupid to dress your baby up for Halloween at this age? I like to do it because it’s so cute, it’s more for me and a photo opportunity than actually trick-or-treating. Although I wouldn’t mind strolling him around so I can get some candy! ha..ha…

Me & my hot date at Don Pablo’s

We ate out more than usual this weekend because we have been putting off going to the grocery store and it never got done this weekend. Fail. I have promised myself we will go tonight because we have ABSOLUTELY no food in our house…no milk…no bread…nothing!!! It’s too expensive to eat out so we need to go. I do use a lot of coupons when we eat out though and we always order water. I have a coupon for Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, Red Lobster, Firehouse Subs, & a few others I can’t think of right now. That is the ONLY reason I subscribe to the Sunday paper is for the coupons.

Last week I noticed in the CVS ad they had Pampers diapers with $10 CVS reward bucks. One per card holder. So I went by and paid $21.99 for a box, but I got $10 in reward bucks, so I’ll go by there this week and get another box for $11.99…so it’s like getting them both almost half off. Gotta shop for those deals! Diapers are expensive!

I had to take a picture with white cheese dip for Bonnie
She has always loved white cheese dip, but apparently they don’t have ANY Mexican restaurants in Vegas that have white cheese dip. Mexican food is NOT scarce here in TX! ha..ha..
They have the BEST sopapillas there
The sauce tastes like melted Krispy Kreme donut glaze
Just to prove how hot it was…..120!!!!
I’m meeeellllltttttiiiiiinnnnnggggg!!!!

After church on Sunday we met our friends Javier, Karen, and Jasmine at Macaroni Grill
I got to use that $7 off coupon 🙂
Connor always does SO good in the nursery at church and the ladies love him. It makes me so happy that my baby behaves so well! They always say he wins the award for best baby 🙂 Now if he can only keep this up as he gets older 😉 I’ve been asked to volunteer in the nursery and I think I am going to do it because they really need the help. We really love our new church and it’s been such a blessing that we’ve found somewhere we fit in and can become a part of a church family.
Here is the very preggo Karen and baby J
Karen is expecting a boy in early September, but I don’t think she’ll make it that long!
Karen was one of the first people I met when I moved to Fort worth. She walked into the bank I work at and we hit it off immediately. She’s just a great person and a wonderful Mommy! I’m so excited for little “C” to arrive!

We also had my niece’s 10th birthday last night and did some other run around town things. The weekends are just so jam packed right now! Terence and I will celebrate our 9 year anniversary on Wednesday so hopefully we’ll get to do something fun for that 🙂
I hope you all had a great weekend!

"Faux-hawk"

“My Momma likes to style my hair!”
“You can see how much I like it!”
ha..ha..I think he was over it after 10 seconds!

He’s got cradle cap going on or baby dandriff…..any suggestions on how to help this ya’ll?
