Why We Believe

Have you ever woken up and thought “Didn’t I just go to sleep?” Lately it seems like each day flies by and I don’t remember what I did the day before. Everything just runs together into one thick stream of LIFE.

Terence and I have both felt convicted to study the Bible more because we know there will be a day when Connor will ask us “Mommy & Daddy why do you believe what you do?” We just started attending a new church and really like it there! I admit I have not always been the best at studying and reading the Bible like I should. We are trying to change that though….and I want to be a better person and Mommy for him……
Terence’s Dad gave him this book called “Systematic Theology“. Honestly, I would have never opened it unless Terence told me about it and we started reading it together. It explains a lot of those questions about “WHY” things are the way they are in the Bible. We just started this book, and so far it’s been a great learning tool. I don’t want to feel guilty because I am not leading the kind of lifestyle I should be….I want to be an example…not just any kind, but a Godly example.

My time with this little guy is not a whole lot 🙁 By the time I pick him up after work and get things done for the next day it seems like we’ve only shared a few hours in the evenings. I wish I could stay at home, but on the other hand I do cherish the moments we have a lot more now.

I can tell he’s going to have lots of questions….just like his Daddy!

He’s my sweet angel and I thank God every day for this little life He has in trusted in my arms
Here’s a little video for Nana & Poppy 🙂

Head..Shoulders..Knees…and Toes!

Drip…..
Drip…..

Drop…..

Right now I am droooooooling all over the place! I am loving my toesies and Daddy says I am going to be like Linus on Snoopy because I have to have a blankie in my hands.

I’ve been such a good boy lately and I usually sleep from 9:30 – 7:00 in the morning now!
I still am only eating Mommy’s milk & drink about 7-8 4 oz. bottles a day. I wear size 2 diaper & will see how much this little guy weighs in a couple weeks at his 4 month checkup. He’s growing like a weed!
Like my new rims?

During the week my Aunt Rebecca & Granna watch me while Mommy is at work.
Sometimes I go visit my great grandma who lives down the street from Granna now 🙂
I also love to play with my cousin BFF Arielle…..
as you can see we keep ourselves pretty entertained 🙂
We got Poppy a shirt with his boys on it for Father’s Day
We love you Poppy!!!
You are the BEST!
That’s about all so far for this week….just one question….is it FRIDAY yet?????

Glasses USA

I’ve had to wear glasses or contacts since I was about 12 years old. I was not blessed with excellent vision unfortunately, but as I’ve grown older I actually ENJOY wearing glasses. There are so many trendy styles to choose from and they’ve become a great accessory to my wardrobe.

I recently received a fabulous pair of eyeglasses from GLASSES USA. They are a great source for perscription eyeglasses at extremely low prices. I just emailed them my current prescription and “viola” in a few days I had my new glasses in the mail!

They have a great selection of glasses online. I chose the “Adam Gray” style and I think they look great! I’ve already had lots of compliments on them!

If you are looking for some new glasses or just a little something to spruce up your wardrobe head over to Glasses USA and use this code ( BLOG10) for 10% off your final order! The code never expires either. Thank you Glasses USA!!! I love my glasses 🙂

Father’s Day 2010

We had a great Father’s Day this year. Connor let us sleep in until 8:00 am on Saturday 🙂 He’s been such a good boy lately and hardly fussing at all! *knock on wood* Terence is such a good Daddy and we are so lucky to have him!

We didn’t really do anything on Saturday except for run around and get some grocery shopping done. Sunday we went to church and then headed to Costco to get 4 new tires for T’s car. I hate car maintenance….it’s SO expensive! We had a nice dinner Sunday night with Terence’s family and then headed home to start the week again! It’s seems like the time is just flying by!

Connor has been very VOCAL lately squealing and making all sorts of noises. It just cracks me up. He does it even in his sleep!

I’ve been watching some summer shows too, including the Next Food Network Star (that Dzintra girl is koo koo!) and HGTV Design Star. I put “The Gates” on my DVR, but haven’t watched it yet! I REALLY want to go see Eclipse this weekend…if only I could find a babysitter for Connor 😛

I JUST WANT TO SAY I AM SOOOO BEHIND ON READING EVERYONE’S BLOGS LATELY AND IT’S NOT BECAUSE I DON’T LOVE YOU ANYMORE….DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL SCATTER BRAINED AFTER THEY HAVE A BABY?????? LIKE I SAID BEFORE I NEED TO WORK ON MY TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLZ SO I CAN FIT ALL THIS IN…BECAUSE I MISS IT AND I AM STILL VISITING YOUR LIVES EVEN THOUGH I MAY NOT COMMENT AS MUCH 🙁 XOXO BECKY)

It’s Friday I am in LOVE!

I am participating in Summer’s “It’s Friday I am in Love” post-a-thon!

YOU ALL KNOW MY LOVE FOR COFFEE!!!!
I am also loving anything with a little *bling bling* to it. I got this whale iron on for $1 and put it on one of Connor’s onesies. Terence said it’s too girlie???? What do you think?
(Later in the week I will show you another *bling* project I am working on!)
I love waking up to this little face every morning. He’s starting to recognize me now and when I go get him up he just SMILES and he’s ready to go live and learn for the day!
We don’t have anything particularly exciting scheduled for the weekend. What are ya’ll doing? And what are you in LOVE with right now?

XOXO – Becky

Testimony of a New Mom

Time…..time is flying by so fast.

Oh how my world has changed these past few months!
Connor, your Daddy and I love you with all our hearts. I’ve waited for you so long my son. I’ve dreamed about you so many nights. I look into your eyes each day and feel overwhelmed with love and emotion. It’s going to be hard to see you grow up and make mistakes or get your first boo boo. I know these moments are just part of growing up. It seems like lately you’ve been growing up so quickly right before our eyes……

You make me want to be a better person. I’ve thought a lot lately about what kind of parent I want to be…..I know sometimes I will have to be strict on you or discipline you for something you’ve done wrong. Right now I just want to hold you and comfort you. I want to put you in a bubble so nothing can ever hurt you or sway you in the wrong direction. I want to be a Godly example in your life. I’ve felt convicted lately that I am not the Godly person I should be or want to be. I will work on that…I’ll be better for me and for you…and for Daddy too……
Your Daddy is my best friend, he holds my heart…and now so do you! He supported me throughout my pregnancy when I was uncomfortable and sick. He helped me put my socks on when I could no longer reach my feet. Your Daddy makes me laugh and smile each day. He encouraged me when I thought I couldn’t breast feed you and wanted to give up! He pushes me to be a better person in life and a better Mommy for you. We both want to be Godly examples for you my son. Without God we would not have you in our lives and in our hearts. You are our precious gift 🙂

I am not perfect by any means and can only strive each day to be a better person. It’s because of God, our loving family, and friends that we have the life we have today. We are so blessed and this short time on earth is only temporary. My love for you will never be temporary….I know there will be times I am exhausted and don’t know what to do with you….but my love will be eternal for you my son.

Your goofy faces make me smile all the time…..

I wonder what you are thinking at times???
You are taking in this new world each day and it’s so amazing to see you learn and grow. You stare at everything like it’s brand new and wonderful and exciting. The little tiny things in life that seem so minuscule to everyone else excite you most of all!
The sleepless nights have been challenging and so have the long days. You are worth every second of that time! Mommy doesn’t have time to do everything she once did….I often wonder if all this blogging, twittering, facebooking is all that important anymore. I love to keep this blog, not for myself, but for you my son…..so that someday you can look back and remember all these things about your crazy Momma!

You are my angel boy…..my gift from above
“I love my Connor boy
You feel my heart with joy
You’re my gift from God above
You fill my heart with so much love”
I repeat that to you every morning…….
You light up my life….my sweet Connor boy 🙂
