Let there be LIGHT!

The Restoration Hardware at the mall in Frisco is going out of business and today we ran in…everything in the store was 50% off or MORE!!! Ahhh!!! It was a zoo in there, but we did get the crystal lamps I have been wanting forever at a STEAL of a price….it was incredible! I just wish we knew about the sale sooner because all the floor models were sold already!

Love them! They are very heavy and solid and I know they will last us a long time 🙂
Tomorrow we are off to look at 14 houses – whew! It’s going to be a long day!

Momma spoils us rotten!

Whenever I go home my Mom spoils me rotten! We had sandwiches with Nannie’s home grown tomatoes…which Mom peeled for me 🙂 She treats me like I’m still a little girl and I love that! ha..ha..I hope that never stops, although I think it will once grand babies are in the picture! We shopped at Babies R Us and Mom got me some maternity clothes for fall at Penny’s. It’s so hard to find good maternity clothes, some stores don’t even HAVE a maternity section!

What is/was your favorite place to find decent priced maternity clothes?

I also love the Amaretto Nog scent for winter time

This weekend we are back to house hunting! I hope we find something suitable soon! I know I have not been the bestest blog buddy lately-between exhaustion and going going going all the time I am worn out a lot. One day I’ll be back to my old self….hopefully……

It was a lovely service for Grandma and she will be truly missed! We have a lot of good memories with her and Grandpa…and I know someday that we will all be together and this is not the end for any of us! She was a very strong woman, my Dad’s Dad died when he was young and she was left with 5 kids to raise on her own….then she met Norm (Grandpa) and they had many wonderful wonderful years together! I’m very thankful for all my family and it was so good to see everyone even under the circumstances…I love you all dearly!

You will be missed….

Our Grandma passed away a couple days ago. She will be missed. I think she is where Bonnie and I get our love of chocolate for and kitties too 🙂 I am headed home to Arkansas tonight for the funeral in Siloam Springs. We love you Grandma…you will be missed. Love, Becky

Sherry’s Gazpacho soup

Sherry is my mother in law and she makes the best gazpacho soup! I never thought I would like a cold vegetable soup, but this is delicious and very healthy….so I thought I would share the recipe with all of you 🙂

Gazpacho Soup

3 c. ripe tomatoes, chopped
1 Tbsp. dried onion flakes
¼ c. soup stock
2 c. cucumbers,* peeled and diced
2 stalks celery, diced
½ green bell pepper, seeded and diced
1 red bell pepper, seeded and diced
3 green onions, sliced
2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1½ – 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
4 tsp. Bragg Liquid Aminos, or lite soy sauce
1½ tsp. dill weed
1½ tsp. herb seasoning

Place 1½ c. tomatoes, onion flakes, and soup stock in food processor or blender and puree. Place in large bowl. Add remaining vegetables and other ingredients and stir well. Cover and chill. Do not heat – this soup is served cold. Garnish each bowl with a few parsley flakes, if desired.

Fun with the scanner

I am having a lot of fun going through old pictures and scanning them…some of them are hilarious and others are just nice to have on the computer. I did love my care bears ya’ll!

We did some more house hunting today and found a couple that we really liked! I can’t wait to get a move on and start getting settled into a home. I guess it happens when you get pregnant and you just want a “home” to raise your family in. I just cut my coupons and we have to go grocery shopping for the week. My doctor told me to “cut back on the carbs sweetheart”. I was like “what???” Apparently I am gaining a little to much poundage…I swear it is all in the boobs! LOL! I wish!
