Terence and I had a wonderful anniversary weekend! T’s parents watched Connor on Friday night so we could spend some time together. On Friday we went to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants called Anejo and also saw the “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”. It was a good movie!
On Friday Terence sent me these beautiful flowers to work 🙂
On Saturday we slept in until around 10 am!!!! OMG!!! That is craziness!!!!
We finally got around and headed out to Dallas for the day. Of course we stopped for our Starbucks…
FYI – Tomorrow I have something special in store for all you Starbucks lovers!!! May include some FREE Starbucks for LOTS of you *wink* *wink*
I have a confession to make : I took back my IPad.
I was barely using it. I found myself gravitating towards my desktop computer & I came home each day and never even picked it up. I guess I had envisioned using it a whole lot more, but come to find out it wasn’t really something I needed….or wanted to keep. It was nice and has lots of bells and whistles. But in the end…I just didn’t want it (am I a weirdo???)
So….Terence took me shopping instead. Because I am a difficult person to find things for! Poor dude. I felt bad for taking back the IPad, but in the end I think it’s a better decision. And a cheaper one 😉
I did however find a purse I loved, so I got this one! It’s my favorite color green & it’s HUGE 🙂
Also found this 3 tiered serving stand at Sur La Table for $10 bucks! I am so excited about it! It was marked down to $20 + I got a coupon in the mail for $10 off a purchase = SCORE!
I also got two new winter coats and some other stuff! Thanks babe for shopping with me! We saw yet another movie and then had a late lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and engorged on some Godiva Cheesecake. And now I must start a diet….all my pants are tight and I’m just over it. I have got to do something and make a life change. I love food, but it’s not worth it. I’m tired all the time and I don’t feel good about myself right now. I cannot wait to get my Erin Condren planner in! I really need to get organized and start menu planning. My biggest struggle is not knowing what to cook & I come home every night exhausted after work and end up throwing in a pizza or something quick in the oven. Well, this is a whole other blog post in itself…..
Our annual anniversary pic
I thank God every day for you Ter-Bear
I try to take one every year of the two of us…so someday we can look back and see how young we used to look! ha..ha…
And now it’s back to a work week…sigh…
Big thank you to Grana & Pop for taking care of Connor boy while we got to spend time together!
I LOVE that green bag!! I’m waiting on my Erin Condren planner as well…can not wait until it arrives!!
ooh you got some good anniversary gifts! y’all are the sweetest together and I’m so glad you got to have a special date 🙂
Can’t wait to hear about this Starbucks stuff! 😉
You guys are too cute! Love the purse, and stand! Free Starbucks? Yes please.
I probably would of taken the iPad back too. I’d rather have a bunch of stuff to use than one thing, plus the iPad scared me because I kept thinking I’d drop it. :/ I have the worst luck with computers. lol
From one Dooney girl to another…I love that bag!!! I don’t blame you at all one bit for exchanging the iPad for all of the other goodies. It made perfect sense and, in the end, you wound up with more! 😉
Sounds like you guys had a great anniversary weekend! Here’s to fifty more wonderful years!!
Your coffee drink always looks so good! What do you get?
You guys are a gorgeous couple!
I’m so happy you had an amazing anniversary!
I absolutely adore the green bag.
Good for you for taking back the ipad, seems to have been the best decision for you. And you got some good stuff instead, I like what you got much better for sure!
Y’all look great in your anniversary pic!
a well deserved weekend 🙂
The flowers and vase are beautiful! 🙂 And yummy, Starbucks. 🙂
Love the new purse! So glad you and hubs had a chance to get away for the weekend. We had a day trip away too and started it off with Starbucks as well 🙂
