I love to change-up my look, especially for a date with my hubby or a night on the town with my girlfriends. I’ve always been a girly girl. My twin sister and I loved to give each other makeovers growing up. Over time we learned how to properly apply makeup, straighten our hair, and eventually the acne disappeared! Ha ha!Every girl, no matter what age loves to feel beautiful. Changing up your makeup is one way women love to change their look. Let’s face it we change our minds a lot right? It’s something that women have done for as long as I know and will continue forever!
I also have several friends who don’t like a lot of makeup, or they don’t like the feel of something on their face. That’s okay because there are so many options out there right now. You are bound to find something that will work with your skin type and color. I recently had a fun time doing a couple of self-makeovers with Rimmel cosmetics. You don’t have to spend a ton of money at expensive department stores to look smoking ladies!
Let me show you the two looks I created with Rimmel cosmetics.
I also want you to keep in mind that EVERYTHING I used to create these makeovers was only $3.97 at Walmart. Crazy huh?

The Rimmel bronzer went on great. I have very fair skin, sometimes bronzers can make me look like I have dark splotches all over my face. This went on smooth and gave me a subtle glow, without being too brown.
The Rimmel eyeshadow was great because it gave a shimmer effect. I like a little shimmer or sparkle on my eyes, I just don’t want it flaking all over my face….and this didn’t 😉
The Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip Gloss did just what it said, it stayed on for a long time. Now, I didn’t test it for 6 hours. I’d say it stayed on for about an hour in my case. It also went on super smooth and gave a nice nude summer shine.
I really like using eye pencils or sticks. I try to accentuate my eyes because they are one of my favorite features. I think everyone has something they prefer to stand out more than everything else….for me it’s the eyes. In this case, I still wanted them to “pop”, but not in a crazy I have on too much eye makeup way….. The Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeshadow stick did just the trick. A nice pop on the eyelid, but still a great neutral look for summer.
On the rare occasion that we do get to go on dates I like to play a little bit more with color and jazz up my daily routine a bit. For this next look I created a “Date Night” look. I used deeper and more subtle colors than I normally would on a daily basis, like the look above.

It’s really hot here in Texas. A light dusting of this Stay Matte powder worked well at setting my makeup look & eliminating shine.
This darker shade of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow pencil was perfect for creating a smokey eye.
These shades of grey helped create a smokey eye perfect for a night out on the town.
If you’re looking for the perfect shade of red in your life…..this is it. It gives that dramatic look and you instantly look polished and like a glamour diva! Hey! Hey! 😉 This particular shade of red can be found HERE.
All this Rimmel makeup was so much fun to play with and create different looks, and it was ALL $3.97!!! It’s such affordable makeup that you can create several looks with the amount of money you would have spent on one in a high-end department store. Rimmel makeup is a great price, but doesn’t sacrifice quality and that’s exactly what I was looking for. Remember, next time you’re at Walmart check out their selection of Rimmel products and create your own summer makeup trends!

You look gorgeous! I am so not a make up person, but you make me want to be!
I love both of your looks! They look great, both in different ways. I’m going to have to try that natural look! So stunning.
How cool that you had a twin to practice your makeup skills on as a little girl! I had an older sister who wanted nothing to do with me. 😉
