Show Us Your Life – Master Bedrooms & DFW Meet-Up

Today on “Show Us Your Life” @ Kelly’s Korner it’s master bedroom day. I didn’t get to take pictures of our current master bedroom, these are in our old apartment. It looks pretty much the same though and we have the same picture, furniture, bedding, and everything else.
Terence has to have a fan 2 feet from his face every night.
I sleep with a polar bear ya’ll!

The only changes we have made to our bedroom at the new house is purchasing a king mattress and we bought the above duvet cover and pillow shams. It’s from Peacock Alley and I love that it’s white & clean. It also has a lovely ruffle detail around it. We also bought an extra euro sham for the bed so we have three now. Eventually I want to get a bed and a matching furniture set, but for now it’s a work in progress!

I love our lamps – we got the lamps, euro shams, and coverlet at Restoration Hardware.

That’s about it for our master bedroom!

It’s a great place to crash when I am soooo tired every night πŸ˜›

I posted a couple weeks ago about a DFW Blogger meet up.

Show Us Your Life-Living Rooms

Connor won all sorts of new toys from Baby Einstein! I follow them on Twitter and every week they have a giveaway and we WON! I am so excited and so is he πŸ™‚

This week @ Kelly’s Korner it’s show us your living rooms

We just moved into our house less than a year ago so it’s still a work in progress. We watch a lot of TV so we invested in a nice speaker system & surround sound in the ceilings. According to my husband it’s extremely important we have this πŸ˜›

Our house is very open & I’ve already posted a lot of pictures on the blog, but here is an official tour. We have very dark floors and furniture so we are trying to keep things light as far as accessories, the rug, and curtains. Our favorite places to shop are Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn.

We are slowly decorating, but as you can see we are in baby land right now so I try to keep things organized! I normally have a big blanket with toys spread out all over the floors.

You can see from here how open everything is to the kitchen. I like it, but sometimes it echoes easily!

Okay I guess that is it from our crib!
See you all on Monday πŸ™‚

What’s in Your Kitchen?

I’ve seen lots of bloggers doing this lately and it’s kind of funny. It’s like MTV cribs…show us what is in your fridge. So here’s the Branch household edition of our crib yo!

Always on hand is dark chocolate
Our pitiful fridge…we need to go to the store
Our pantry is a MESS!

Top shelf : cupcake carrier, hand mixer, wine opener

2nd shelf: jam, spaghetti sauce, french press, oil, pudding, & syrup

3rd shelf: cookbooks, my beloved Kitchenaid mixer, baking supplies (sugar, flower)

4th shelf: Carnation Instant Breakfast, noodles, hot chocolate, sauces, crackers, & salsa

5th shelf: Cereal & chips, chocolate cake ball supplies, noodles

Floor: grocery bags & paper towels

I’m kind of embarrassed to show this one because our fridge is empty…we obviously DO eat because we have bellies πŸ˜›

Coffee creamer, milk, dark chocolate syrup

Some lonely lettuce whithering away in the crisper

Ya know the necessities πŸ™‚

Frozen milk
ice packs
Kashi meals
frozen veggies
frozen chicken
Breyer’s dark chocolate ice cream
(there is a theme here, I love dark chocolate!)

I think we are missing something????

There is NO Cristal Champagne in our fridge!!!! What???
Ha…ha…
So tell me: “What is in your fridge???”

Curtain Call

He was sleeping like an angel yesterday
I got some warm sheets out of the dryer and this was the result πŸ™‚
My little ducky likes to splish splash!!!
Look at that mischievous grin πŸ˜›

Okay- here is the before and after of the living room and dining room windows

I think it really brings some color into the rooms

We’ve lived in this house for almost a year now and are finally starting to decorate and get things on the wall. I love it and the ceilings look really tall now! I want to get some Christmas stockings to put on the mantle with our names on them. Any suggestions you guys???

Baby fabrics and more progress

Terence’s mom is so talented when it comes to sewing things and she is going to make Connor’s baby bedding. She is going to make the lamb quilt below and here are some of the fabrics we picked out this weekend for the bedding and quilt. It will be extra special because Connor’s Granna made it πŸ™‚

Yes-the spelling of his name has changed…everyone thought it was “or” anyways at the end and so we just changed it because I guess that is the common spelling and I wasn’t aware of it!
And here are some progress pics on the house-can’t wait to finally move!
We have been SO busy lately…maybe that’s why I have been a little absent in blogging, but once things settle down I hope to get my groove thing back ya’ll!
Here is the master bath

We have FLOORS! They are a bit dirty because it’s still under
construction, but you get the idea

The fireplace mantle will be stained the same color as the kitchen cabinets
Okay-we are off to the Super Target to shop for food…xoxo Becky

House Hunting

We met our real estate agent last night to look at this house. It is more than we wanted to spend, but because it’s brand new the builders are really trying to sell it. It’s already finished out and we would have to close in a month! Ahhh!!! There is also the option to build. I’m so torn as to what to do, but we both fell in love with this house. I don’t want to be house poor though πŸ™ So many decisions! I mean it’s either we get a nicer house and take that next step with the low low interest rates right now and the 8K tax credit, or a starter home that we aren’t completely in love with….what would you do???? It’s over 2300 square feet, I mean we don’t have the furniture to furnish this baby anyways! ha..ha… but I do LOVE it! It’s everything we wanted.
Front of the house, it has very LITTLE yard…which Terence loves…but what about for re-sale?
The Living Room-hand scraped hardwood floors

Media Room-Terence’s dream room! LOL!

I’m am going to love having this garage! Here is Terence admiring his handy work. It took him over an hour to hang the TV up on the wall!!! I was getting very frustrated & was ready to go home! I may be M.I.A. the next few days because we will be in the middle of the move, but I’ll be back soon! Have a great week!
