Slip Sliding Away…

Here is my lovely view on the way to work today.  It was icy on the roads this morning.  I ventured out without my chauffeur (Terence) this morning and I did pretty good.  There were a few times I slid, but thank the Lord for anti lock breaks!

These always make the day better don’t they?
Poor Connor has not been feeling good.  He didn’t seem to keep anything in his little stomach yesterday.  He’s still feeling cruddy today, but hopefully he’s not throwing up everywhere still.  I get off work at 3:00 and I can’t wait to go get my baby and cuddle with him…it makes him and me feel better…..
I saw these owl pajamas at Target the other day.  They were clearance marked at $7.29!!!  The only thing was they were lined in PINK!  You know I would have been on up on that if I had a girl 😛

Also-Terence walked past this cake last night at the gym.  The GYM of all places to see a cake display???  Nothing like working your butt off for an hour to burn 400 calories and then walk past this! ha..ha..

I am going to call this bakery and get a quote for a cake for Connor’s party.  It’s called Hot Chocolates.
Isn’t that the cutest little cake you ever did see??? I LOVE IT!

Living Life

We have a lot going on these days it seems!  Terence and I worked the Stock Show again on Saturday morning while our friends Adam & Christa watched Connor.  We are so thankful for such sweet family and friends. We also had the pleasure of having Terence’s Uncle Royce & Aunt Susan stay with us.  We all had family dinner on Saturday night at Terence’s parents house and then they came over and stayed at our house.  The next morning we all had breakfast at Golden Corral, which has a massive smorgasbord of food by the way!
Sunday we just spent family time together and did the usual….grocery shopping….laundry….the cycle never ends!  We had such beautiful weather this past weekend I can hardly believe the weather TODAY!  It sleeted and snowed over night and the roads were a sheet of ice this morning.  Terence took me to work thank goodness or I would have been very nervous, especially with Connor in the back seat.  I know lots of people have been getting crazy weather….but this is unusually cold for TX.  I think the high today and tomorrow is in the teens.  *Shiver*
Ter-Bear & I getting our Starbucks fix Saturday morning 🙂
Beautiful plant from Aunt Susan and Uncle Royce 🙂

These are some cupcake stands I bought for Connor’s party.  One of them was silver metal and the other was white plastic.  I bought some “oil rubbed bronze” spray paint and painted them to match.  I was thinking I could stick suckers or something through the one on the left???

I got my butt chewed by Terence for doing THIS to our back porch!
I guess I didn’t realize the wind was blowing….oops!
They turned out nice though!

Connor loves the “Little Einstein’s” cartoon theme song.  That is about all he likes right now so we rewind and let him watch it over and over.  He’s not much into TV.  I think he just likes the dancing and music part of the intro.

Dude also has a fascination with the dishwasher…….teaching him early!!! Woohoo!
That’s funny because Terence claims his Mom never taught him how to do the dishes and I KNOW she did!
Love this face 🙂
He also never goes anywhere these days without his “lovie” AKA his owl blankie
I love these!  My good friend Wendy sent these to me and they are so precious!
He got his first Valentine from Nannie (Great Grandma)
We love our Nannie and miss her so much!
I hope you all are having a good week!
I was cutting coupons last night and I think he may have eaten one because he has been throwing up all day.  It looked like it had paper in it.  I have no clue what to do?  He is in a good mood, but he can’t keep his food down???  I have to watch him like a hawk…I had no idea he had eaten that much paper 🙁

Rockin Robin

Connor loves this ball machine at his Granna & Pop’s house.  I think we may have to get one for him because he loves it 🙂
I was looking on Zulily again today and they have this precious “crib fringe”
Isn’t that a cute idea!  It looks like it would be easy to make too!
Connor boy is growing up way too fast!
I think he’s getting another tooth in…I do not like this teething. AT.ALL.

And the Party Planning Continues…

I am almost finished with Connor’s first birthday banner.  It’s taken a lot of cutting, blood, sweat, and yeah…..cutting and glue.  It was a little harder than I thought.  I need to add a few more owls on the end and things like that, but it came along nicely.  I free handed the letters because I didn’t like the big block letters.  It turned out okay, it looks more child like this way I guess.

I’ve got a lot of the tableware and things from Wal-Mart and Target.  Most of it was around $1.00 – $2.50 a package.  That green plastic bowl was only $1.00 at Wal-Mart and I’m sure I’ll find something to put in there!

Here is a close up of the “1” on the sign.  Should I add more little owls or big owls??? What do ya’ll think?
I picked up these shiny orange platters for 50% off at Hallmark.  They were $3.00 a piece!  I
can use them to serve some things on too.
Dude kept getting into my peppermint chocolate sticks while I was working on the banner.
He is into EVERYTHING right now!

#1 eligible bachelor ladies….watch out!!!

These are actually stickers I got at Michael’s and I think I am going to print something on them and use them as cupcake toppers.

Awesome green cupcake liners from Tuesday Morning
Don’t you love this owl candle??? It’s ADORABLE…I’ll stick it somewhere around here!
This is the HUGE mess I’ve made in the extra bedroom right now.  I have to get this cleaned up because we have company staying with us this weekend and I have been throwing all things PARTY up in here.  Terence just walks in and turns around…ha…ha…
Every time I bring something else home he just sighs…this is my “thing” right now and it’s something I look forward to doing and crafting.  What will I do after all this mess is over with???
I’m sure I’ll have more crafty business to share with you all soon!

My new friend Jenne did my hair Saturday afternoon and I LOVE IT!
She did a fab job!  Thank you Jenne!!!

I may get a few more highlights when summer hits, but darker hair is way easier on Momma’s roots!

Mr. Heart breaker at Wal-Mart
Which by the way has awesome cupcake towers for $5.00 right now!!!
My friend Suzie took some pictures of us at the stock show.
I promise we didn’t keep Connor in the Buffalo trailer all day 😛

Connor and Terence with baby buffalo Tuffy
Connor’s like “What the heck is that thing!”
Taking pictures 🙂
Something we all know I LOVE to do!

Weekend ReCap

The weekends seem to fly by so fast.  I know I say that a lot, but they really do!  I just try to enjoy the moments I get to spend with my hubby and Connor…they are my life.  I want to cherish every second with them!
Terence, Connor, and I went to the Fort Worth Stock Show again on Saturday.  We had a special treat because the baby buffalo, Tuffy, was there!  He was so cute too!  It was packed full of people…much busier than last weekend!  I really enjoy going and seeing everyone dressed in their rodeo gear and catching up with friends 🙂
I don’t own a lick of rodeo wear…sorry folks!
Connor’s first time to the Stock Show
That is “Mo” the buffalo in the background there…

He was pretty good on Saturday but I think it was way too busy for us to have him with us!
Next weekend his Auntie Christa & Uncle Adam will be watching him and I know he’ll have fun.  He is such a laid back and sweet boy…God knew my nerves get frazzled easy and blessed us with his sweet spirit 🙂

Love this picture of Terence with Connor
Another thing you have been doing lately silly boy…you can’t hardly stand it when we are in the shower.  You wait there right next to the door until we come out and get so excited when the door finally opens! ha..ha..
 Baby buffalo Tuffy
This is Bree’s little Cowboy Dillon
His personality just lights a room…he is quite a character!
Bree is the owner of the buffalo and you can find more about her HERE
When I got home on Friday my Mom had sent me a care package.  I miss my Mommy so much!  She sent me my new favorite Aromatique scent, Sugar Maple, an owl notebook, and she knitted me TWO scarves *love*  Thank you Momma….you mean the world to me!
Connor loves the scarf too!

We visited Gigi’s Cupcakes in Dallas this weekend too…but they were closed! Wahhhh!!! I really wanted to try it…hopefully some other time.

We had lunch at a place called Celebrations in Dallas.  They used to have a location in Fort Worth and Terence has talked about it for years!  He finally took me and it was delicious!  We had chicken dishes as an entree, roasted butternut squash, broccoli, and mashed potatoes.  The salad was sooooo good too!  Connor had Cheerios and that suited him just fine!
I guess that is all from us this weekend….I hope you all had a great weekend too!

Oh also got my hair dyed darker….pics to come soon!

If all else fails…..ask the Internets

Terence has been getting this comment a lot lately :
“You look a lot like Stephen Baldwin”

So what do ya’ll think?  Does he?

I can see some similarities…but not totally alike.

Have you all heard of the new Starbucks cup size?  It’s called a TRENTA…it’s redonk!  It’s HUGE!
I guess they were thinking of people like me…the only thing is you can only get an iced tea or iced regular plain coffee in them 🙁

I am getting my hair done tomorrow for the first time in FOREVER!  I don’t think I have had a hair cut or a good dye job since right after Connor was born.  I like all the styles above…which one do ya’ll like?  I’ll take a picture and show you what it looks like after.  Should I go dark, blonder, cut it off, keep it long???  Decisions…decisions….

I purchased this tote on Zulily
I love the shiny brown color!  Can’t wait to get it in 🙂
Only $18 and right now I am totally loving this shiny material.
This weekend T & I are working the Fort Worth Stock Show again and I plan on doing some more crafting.  I have been doing pretty good at cooking meals for us this week.  I really need to start exercising more regularly because those pounds I gained at Christmas just aren’t coming off!  Terence has been very diligent about going to the gym and I am so proud.  He’s going to be in mountain climbing shape in NO time!
I hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoy your family, friends, and have fun too 🙂
