Box it Up!

Yesterday we received our monthly box from Citrus Lane.  Citrus Lane is a box to door service where they care package for your child.  You just go online and fill out a profile and each month you’ll get a box full of goodies!

I think we’ve been getting them for almost a year now and have really enjoyed it!  Some of the products are so new they aren’t even on the market yet.  It’s fun to try new things out I normally wouldn’t notice myself, and sometimes those things are what I end up liking the most!

This paint book was really cool!  Each page has its own paint palette for that picture…..so no mess and just the right amount of pain 🙂

Octonauts Fun!

Octonauts is cartoon series for children 2-6. The Octonauts are a team of undersea adventurers who are always ready to dive into action! Their mission: to explore new underwater worlds, rescue amazing sea creatures and protect the ocean.  Connor LOVES watching Octonauts and he’s really into fish and sea life right now because that’s what they’ve been studying in school.

We received several new Octonaut toys to play with on our doorstep a couple of weeks ago.  Oh my goodness you would have thought it was Christmas Day!  Connor was SO excited and he’s been playing with his Octonaut buddies ever since.  He even plays with them in the bath.

Connor with all his new Octonauts!

He’s at the age where he has really started to role play with toys.  I love peeking in his room and listening to his imagination run wild while playing.  It’s usually pretty funny!  The Octonauts have a lot of crashes and dives I must say!  Boys…..D7K_0317 D7K_0320 D7K_0321

Excuse the chocolate mustache and the half-way cheese…he was too busy playing.

Here is some more info on Octonauts:

The Octonauts follows a team of animated adventure heroes who dive into action whenever there is trouble under the sea. In a fleet of aquatic vehicles, they rescue amazing sea creatures, explore incredible new underwater worlds, and often save the day before returning safely to their home base, the Octopod.

Buoyed by the companionship of three leading characters – Captain Barnacles Bear, Lieutenant Kwazii Cat, and Medic Peso Penguin – the Octonauts are always ready to embark on an exciting new mission!

Based on the richly imaginative books by award-winning design team, Meomi, the TV series combines elements of classic team adventure with stunning CGI animation to transport little ones into a magical world under the sea.

The show will arouse their curiosity and feed their imagination, answering questions in a journey of discovery through the world’s oceans.

The educational value of the show

Octonauts helps children to:

  • Learn more about the world around them
  • Develop an understanding of team-work and community (by watching the characters help one another).

Be sure to tune in to Disney Jr. to find out when Octonauts is airing on TV!

We were given these Octonaut toys as a part of a blog ambassador program in exchange for review.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Weekend Wrap-Up

This weekend was a blur.  We are all still trying to recover from being sick for what seems like an eternity.  Overall, it was a great casual, sun shiney weekend!

I painted my nails a springy color!

Took photos of this sweet family, they happen to be our neighbors.

Nothing like fresh veggies and herbs.

We also re-planted our front flower beds.   I guess we were pretty productive eh?

How was your weekend???

I Could Eat You With a Spoon!

D7K_0349

I don’t know how I missed this?  My parents were in town last month and my Dad must have written this on the chalkboard.  I took it down for Connor to play with and saw it…..

Something my Grandma used to say “I could eat you with a spoon!”  It made me giggle.  And made me think of my parents being there…we’ve had a rough few weeks.  It seems like we’ve been sick in some shape, way, or form over the past month.  I’m so over it.

Thankfully, Connor is feeling much better!  I’m feeling better today too.  Terence went to the Doctor this morning…you know because it takes men a bit longer to cave in and actually go see a Doctor!  He tested positive for strep throat.  Good times I tell ya!  Thanks for all the prayers….we appreciate it so much!

Connor LOVES some Cheerios.  He could eat them for every meal, just like his Daddy…D7K_0380 D7K_0378 D7K_0368 D7K_0370 D7K_0371 D7K_0372 D7K_0373 D7K_0374

Here’s to a brighter and happier week!  Can I get an amen???

Oh!  And did you KNOW that Dunkin Donuts makes red velvet donut holes…..Hello???

If that don’t make you feel better I don’t know what will!

Plague of 2013

I’m officially referring to the last two weeks as “The Plague of 2013”.

I’ve missed work, T’s missed work….Connor is missing school and he’s so whiny and needy.  Bless him.

He’s been running a high fever, eyes, ears are infected.  It’s just been a rough few weeks.

Prayers for my sanity much appreciated!

I really want MY Mama right now 🙁
