Fall Happenings and Such

This past weekend I went a little fall crazy.  I bought some things at HomeGoods for amazing prices 🙂
Including the little sticks there and the candy bowl sign.  I also love the glitter pumpkin!
The printable is from Pinterest-you can find those by searching “Fall Subway Art”.
Amber was my partner in crime.  Let me tell you shopping with 3 kiddos is crazy town!
We had a fun day though!
Of course we started off with some coffee crack and we were good to go!!!
Woohoo!
Love you Amber!!!!
My boo boo!
The blanket must go everywhere!
I mean EVERYWHERE.
Loving my sweet cinnamon pumpkin candle
Even if it doesn’t feel like fall outside yet-at least it does in my kitchen!
This train set was the best investment ever.  He has so much fun playing with it….and destroying it.  Regardless, we’ve had hours of fun playing trains.

Frizzy Frazzled Hair Help! + {Contest}

You all know how much I love Dove products.  I’ve written about Dove on my blog a few times.  I’m always pleased with the results I get from Dove because it’s gentle on my hair and skin.
I recently had the opportunity to try Dove Damage Therapy- Intensive Repair Conditioner.  I have naturally curly hair.  If you have seen my two year old’s Afro head then you know where he gets it from….his Mama.  Of course they say you always want what you don’t have.
I blow dry and straighten my hair all the time.  This wreaks havoc on my hair in a major way.  I’m always searching for products that help repair the damage I’ve done to my hair.
Dove Damage Therapy Conditioner left my hair feeling soft and less frizzy.  It helped smooth out my curls and my hair didn’t feel as dry and frazzled on the ends.  I also color my hair, you name it I’ve done it!  I’m surprised my hair still wants to be on MY head!  I’m not easy on it!   Teasing, brushing, blow drying, coloring, straightening, curling, and styling….I need damage control.
I was happy to find that, once again, Dove exceeded my expectations and delivered a product that did what it said it would do.  Dove Damage Therapy Conditioner nourished and repaired my dry hair. It contains fiber active technology that penetrates deep inside the hair strand, helping rebind damaged proteins.  My hair feels soft, smooth, and renewed again!

Things That Make You Go ???

  • Connor said he feet hurt the other day.  After he told me for the third time I finally looked down and noticed I put his shoes on the wrong feet???

  • Terence taking us out on a family hike today in 100+ degree temps.  I literally had to crawl back to the car.  I thought I was going TO.DIE.

  • Braum’s new nacho cheeseburger.  Ewe.

  • There was a kid on our hiking trip with jeans and a jacket on…how in the world is he alive???

  • Connor won’t say hi to our friends and family when we ask him to, but he will say hi to every random stranger on the street or in a store.  Including the homeless man on the street corner smoking a cig.

  • You know it’s time for a haircut when someone tells you how beautiful SHE is….meaning your son.

  • I was so bored this weekend I watched Real Housewives of New Jersey.  Now I feel 95% more stupid.  Why are the Manzo’s trying to market black water??? Weird.
Anyway….I don’t wanna go back to work tomorrow Mama!!!!! Waaaaahhhhh!!!!

We’ve been having a blast just chilling this weekend as a fam.  I love my boys 🙂

Bible Songs to Sing with your Kids

My sister in law is awesome.  She’s started a great pre-school program with Connor and my niece Ellie.  She’s got a gift with children and we are so blessed to have her and the rest of the fam as influences in Connor’s life.
She found some songs that are easy and simple to sing if you have kids around Connor’s age.
Connor loves them.  We sing songs on the way to work every morning 🙂
Song: Do You Know Who Made The World?
(Tune: Do You Know The Muffin Man?)
Do you know who made the day (night, sky, water),

Made the day (night, sky, water), made the day (night, sky, water),

Do you know who made the day (night, sky, water)?

It was God who made the day (night, sky, water).

Verse Song
(Tune: Are You Sleeping?)
In the beginning, (2x)

God created (2x)

The heavens and the earth. (2x)

Genesis 1:1 (2x)

 Song: Seven Days of Creation

(Tune: Doe, A Deer)
One: the light from dark was made,

Two: the clouds and waters part,

Three: the sea, the land and plants,

Four: the sun, the moon, the stars,

Five: the fish and the birds,

Six: the animals and the man,

Seven: God rested, all was good:

His creation and His plan!

We also found the neighborhood cat the other night on a walk around the neighborhood.
Connor loved it! Ha ha!  He kept saying “meow” “meow”
I guess he was trying to speak cat to the cat 🙂
Hope you all are having a great week!

Crafting: What Do You Need?

Everyone has one…or maybe not everyone…but you know what I mean.  A closet where you stash stuff.  Stuff that you know you’ll use someday.  I mean you have to use it someday right?  I love throwing get togethers and parties.  I’m always on the lookout for a good deal or something festive because I may need it someday.
Some may call this hoarding, but I call it thrifty!  Ha ha!
I like to craft and get creative, but I don’t have much time for that business these days.  Pinterest certainly doesn’t help that problem.  I have so many things pinned for “someday”.
It’s easier to just pin it and forget about it….hopefully someday you’ll come back to it.  Unfortunately for me I just keep pinning more stuff.  You know because I may need to know how to do that craft or skill…..someday……
So…just curious.  What are the essentials you keep on hand at your house?   It seems like whenever I start to do a project I’m missing something.  It’s like baking a cake and forgetting the eggs constantly!
Here is my messy closet, full of things I’m most certainly going to use eventually……

Everyone loves tissue paper pom poms.
These were a steal for $1 at Michaels 🙂
(And I don’t have to do anything but hang them)
I don’t remember where I got this?
But who knows when you’ll need a banner
Cute napkins from HomeGoods
Happy Birthday Garland
I love this company called Meri Meri
Cute washi tape
An array of ribbons

I got this cute card holder from Zulily
I think it would look good holding pictures too!
I think it’s TAG2U
Lots of fun straws
Paper Goods: Bags & Popcorn/Candy holders
Cupcake Kits: Also from Meri Meri

And someday my dream is to have a room like this!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
Well, we all dream 😉
