I’m counting down the days until my family gets here Memorial Day weekend. I can’t wait! I get sooooo homesick sometimes especially after having Connor I really want them around.
Connor has been an angel baby lately….just smiling and laughing at everything. We love to watch him grow and learn each day. His little smile just melts my heart! It’s the greatest thing on this earth looking into his eyes and see him smiling back at me.
I’ve been having a lot of anxiety lately and I don’t know why??? Just tension and stress…I know I worry waaaay too much about things that don’t matter and I wish I could just lay down and night and let the world melt away. Unfortunately I am not one of those people and I’ve had a hard time managing things lately while trying to get things done. I will start one thing and then forget about it and then start another project…then move onto another thing….I feel like robo mom sometimes! Lord grant me the strength I need to deal with each day and whatever it may bring. I love being a mommy, but sometimes I get overwhelmed…I don’t know HOW all of you with two, three, or four (or more!) kids do it! I’m living and learning each day 🙂
This weekend we went out to lunch with my sweet friend Bree and her son Dillon. We visited a new restaurant called the Yucatan Taco Stand and it was SOOOOO good! We will definitely be going back there!
I also got my hair done! I asked for caramel colored highlights and they turned out really REALLY blond….so I am not so sure about it. It’s growing on me though….what do ya’ll think? We celebrated Terence’s 29th birthday on Tuesday. I woke up and walked into the bathroom and Terence said he forgot it was even his birthday! What??? I never forget MY birthday! He’s weird! I brought home some Coldstone Creamery cookies and he blew out his candles and we watched Lost. That’s about it, nothing too exciting…..
Last night we went out with our friends Christa and Adam to The Cheesecake Factory to celebrate. They just loved on Connor and gave him bunches of attention! He loved it! They are so sweet and will be such good parents someday…hint…hint…
This little guy has been an ANGEL the past few days. He rarely cries when I pick him up after work and he’s been good all night sleeping until 5 am or sometimes even 7 am! I’m so proud of our little guy and he’s just growing like a weed already! I hope this little happy streak lasts for a good while! ha..ha..
I recently had the opportunity to review some WONDERFUL products from Eden Home Baby. The package arrived at my doorstep and it was beautifully wrapped in an organic bag. I was so excited to try out these products because as you all know I have a new baby and am always looking for ways to comfort him and make life a little easier.
Eden Home Baby has a wonderful line of products including organic baby clothes, organic baby gifts, organic baby blankets, organic crib bedding, wooden toys, organic toys, organic baby gift registry, gift ideas for baby shower, Plan Toys, Serena and Lily, & Kate Quinn Organics.
We tried out the BPA Free Natural Nurser bottles because we were looking for something Connor could drink out of without leaking. The bottle didn’t leak, but I think the flow was a little fast for him…so when you are ordering these bottles they come in three levels depending on the age of your infant. This was a level three. If you are a nursing Momma the nipple resembles a natural breast so that would help with nipple confusion. All in all I liked the bottle and it’s something I would recommend to nursing Mommas who are converting to bottles.
We also got the Organic Baby Blanket by Swaddle Designs and I LOOOOOOVE it! It’s incredibly soft and Connor loves to be swaddled at night. He has outgrown some of the newborn swaddle blankets and we were trying to find one a little bit bigger that would grow with him. This blanket is HUGE and so cute! I would definitely buy this as a gift for someone…it’s the best swaddler I’ve used.
Here he is all swaddled
The blanket even has a little tag on it that shows you how to swaddle!

I had a great first Mother’s Day. I couldn’t ask for a better gift than Connor, he’s my angel boy and God has truly blessed us with him. For so many years I’ve longed to experience motherhood and it’s been the greatest and most challenging experience so far…and I am enjoying every minute of it! I’m praying for all of you out there longing for the same thing, I truly believe that God has perfect timing and if you have the desire for motherhood in your heart God will fulfill that desire one day…..
Terence and I are both blessed with wonderful mothers, grandmothers, and aunts. We love you all and are so thankful for you!
