I had a great first Mother’s Day. I couldn’t ask for a better gift than Connor, he’s my angel boy and God has truly blessed us with him. For so many years I’ve longed to experience motherhood and it’s been the greatest and most challenging experience so far…and I am enjoying every minute of it! I’m praying for all of you out there longing for the same thing, I truly believe that God has perfect timing and if you have the desire for motherhood in your heart God will fulfill that desire one day…..

Terence and I are both blessed with wonderful mothers, grandmothers, and aunts. We love you all and are so thankful for you!

I’ve had a rough week so far. Tuesday I went to pick Connor up and then I couldn’t find my cell phone so I drove all the way back to work and looked there…no phone! I finally found it under my passenger side seat in my car. I got home after 6 pm and needed to pump because my boobs were hurting SO bad! I ended up getting a mass in my breast again and ran a fever all night with chills and the sweats. It was terrible! I’ve had this happen a couple times before (mastitis) and it’s the worst…I can’t let this happen anymore because I can’t stand to get sick like that! Pumping is a pain in the rear, but it’s the best thing for Connor and I worked so hard to get my supply up that I am not going to QUIT and I’m determined to see this through. Terence has been my biggest supporter throughout, but I can see how a lot of people give up because it does take it’s toll on you! Prayers that it all works out…..

I was looking for some labels I could put on Connor’s things so that when we dropped him off at the church nursery or anyone else’s house his things wouldn’t get mixed up with other kids. I found a site called MABEL’S LABELS and they sell dishwasher and microwave safe labels. I ordered some and they came in yesterday…so cute!

Yep…it’s a hard life being a baby!

Every morning when I get up I love to watch the Today Show. My morning starts a lot earlier now and the days of hitting the snooze button are DEFINITELY over! I’ll get up, pump, take a shower, feed Connor…and watch the Today Show. They have great stories every morning and that is how I get my news and keep up with everything going on in the world. I love Ann Curry, she seems so genuine when talking about the news.

And I have a secret crush on Brian Williams, I have no idea why…but he’s just really cute for an older dude and he too seems genuine while news casting. Sooo…that is my morning! And before you know it it’s time to hit the road and off to work!

I love all the comments and advice from everyone! It makes me feel so much better as a new mom to hear from all of you “experienced” mommy’s and caregivers out there…because sometimes I just feel CLUELESS! ha..ha..ha..!!!!

I wanted to have some fun on my last day at home with Connor before going back to work. My friend Karen and I went out to lunch and then of course Starbucks 🙂 I think she is just as much an addict as I am! Ha..ha..!!! We went walking around the mall and went to Sephora and Karen got her eyes made over and then across the way was the Godiva boutique. If you join their mailing list you get a free truffle a month, so I stopped in and got my free truffle! Thanks Karen for a fun day with you and baby “J” and soon to be baby boy!

I also window shopped for mother’s day (dream on!) but I wanted an aquamarine something or another with Connor’s birth stone….maybe someday……I’ve been off of work for awhile so extra moolah is not there for the bling bling!

And here he is today right before we left for Aunt Rebecca’s house and I had to go to work. I had my cry this morning and told him goodbye 🙁 I think I was more worried how he would act over there than anything else. She said he did pretty good today so that calmed my nerves a little. My day starts so early now (around 5:45 am) Terence woke up around 3:00 last night and fed him a bottle (thank you sooo much for letting me sleep honey!) It was nice to go back to work and see everyone and know I was missed! It makes me feel better that they missed me 😛
