Mr. Cool

I’m clinging onto every last second I have with this little man. I am going back to work on Friday and I’m just dreading it! I’m trying to get things ready and put his name on his bottles and things like that. He’s been so good this week and hardly cried or thrown any fits at all! I can’t believe it! He’s my precious angel boy and I thank God every day for him…my heart is just so full of love for this little human being it hurts. My life and my time is not my own anymore…he definitely rules the roost right now! Maybe eventually I’ll get more time to do the things I used to, but right now he is definitely in charge! LOL! It is getting better though….

I wanted to ask a question: What kind of bottles do you use?

I’ve been using the Dr. Browns bottles because they don’t come out as fast, but they have been leaking a lot lately. I’ve also tried the Avent bottles as well, but the milk comes out too fast…I’m having no luck here, so suggestions welcome!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Weekend Road Trip

I figured since I won’t have any vacation time after maternity leave that we should squeeze in one last visit to Arkansas before I start back to work on Friday. We headed home Thursday afternoon and got home yesterday evening. We had a great trip…short but sweet! Connor was so good in the car and only woke up a couple of times each way. He was soooo GOOD the whole time we were there I was thinking “what happened to my child!” He barely threw any fits and just soaked up all the lovin from Poppy, Nana, Nannie, Kristin, Nate, and their three kiddos. We are so blessed with such wonderful friends and family and it’s always good to see them and be reminded of that!

Of course you can’t have a road trip without lots of COFFEE!!!
(Red eye alert!!! The air was making my sinuses explode!)
Connor and Aunt Kristin at dinner

Abby in her little mermaid costume holding Connor

Feeding him his bottle
The kids wanted to hold and kiss him all the time!
It was soooo sweet!
Connor and Poppy taking a nap together 🙂

All this sugar is just overwhelming!
I am so loved!

Connor wore his overalls that Nannie got him…Papa would approve!

I sure do love my precious Nannie!

And she loves me too….

Now we are back home and Mommy is trying to enjoy every last MINUTE with me!

Kicking It

I’ve been sick with a bad sinus headache, sore throat, and fever since yesterday. I haven’t been sick since before I had Connor and this stinks 🙁 I just hope I don’t pass anything onto him & it’s so hard to know what you can take while breastfeeding. I am going to cry when I have to go back to work next Friday!!! Wahhhh!!!!

How am I going to go all day without seeing this face???

Thursday afternoon we leave for Arkansas! Yipppeeee!!!

Rainy day Saturday

We’ve been so lazy today….
Daddy got a haircut & we went to a baby store, Arby’s for lunch, and STARBUCKS 🙂
I love my owl blankie from Mrs. Wendy
It’s from a company called Angel Dear and it’s so cute!
I’m just a swingin….
Mommy says I am a handful, but I just want to be involved in EVERYTHING!
Love, Connor

This is how I roll

We’ve had a busy day today! We woke up early and I had my LAST appointment with my OBGYN doctor! Woohoo! No more blood tests, exams, and peeing in a cup for a long time 🙂
All the nurses were goo goo over Connor. He is so alert right now and doesn’t want to miss out on ANYTHING! He’s going to be a child of 1,000 questions I just know it! One of the nurses has a full row of gold teeth…

Sort of like these…..
BUT FOR REAL YA’LL!!!
She’s as sweet as pie though!
Then we went to visit where I work and Connor got lots of sugars and we went out to eat with my friend Julie. It’s amazing how much STUFF you need to go out of the house with a little one and can I just say car seats weigh like 200 pounds! Ahhh!! I go back to work in two weeks so I am trying to cherish these last couple of weeks with my baby boo!
And that’s how I roll….
