Kindergarten!

It seems like just yesterday we were bringing Connor home from the hospital. When people say time flies you don’t really realize it until it already has.

We dropped Connor off this morning and he did just fine! He was pretty much like “See ya later Mom & Dad I got this!”. When I picked him up today he said he wanted to go back tomorrow, so I guess it didn’t go too bad. Of course when I ask him what he did today he always replies “stuff” or “I don’t remember”.

ELABORATE. Ha ha!

Anyway…it was fun to see everyone’s posts on Facebook today too! Enjoying every day and each moment- xo Becky

We met up with Connor’s Pre-K class yesterday at a trampoline place. We sure are going to miss those kiddos!

We had meet the teacher last night for Connor’s Kindergarten class. My Mama heart is swelling…

I can’t believe he’s so big and independent now. I know he’ll have a wonderful year and make so many friends. Of course I want this kiddo to go back to school in style. Growing up one of my favorite things was when my Mom took my sister and I back to school shopping.

This year we headed to OshKosh B’Gosh & got the coolest clothes for Connor. I guess I can’t say cute anymore because that’s not “cool”. Ha ha! I know when I had a new outfit on and I felt I looked good I had a great day at school. OshKosh B’Gosh has great quality clothing that will last and last. I am finding my days of picking out clothing are just about over because he is very much opinionated about what he wears now. Thankfully OshKosh B’Gosh had tons to choose from and we found lots of fun things as well as basics like socks and underwear. These kids grow up way too darn fast.

Tell Me Bout it Monday…

I pulled up my Facebook feed this morning and was excited to see all the back to school pictures from friends and family. Connor starts next Monday. The nurse from the elementary school called and said a shot he was supposed to have gotten at birth was not documented. So I had to go to the hospital (which I haven’t been to in over 5 years…) and get documentation of this ONE shot he was supposed to have. He did indeed get it and I got the paperwork to prove that. What a mess though…seriously?

My solace was the Starbucks in the lobby of the hospital because I remember checking in wanting to have one so bad and never got one because I just had a baby and no caffeine and all that mess….whatevs.

One of my favorite reality shows ever “Ladies of London” is coming back across the pond. I know this show is probably so far from reality it’s crazy…but I love to watch these divas and listen to their fancy accents and watch the fancy parties.

I’ve been doing a ton of photo shoots lately and it’s been so fun! I just adored this little one-year-old birthday party on Saturday. It was seriously ADORABLE down to the very last detail.

We love Peppa Pig and we just watched a new movie called Peppa Pig: School Bus Trip DVD, Peppa and her school friends take a trip to the mountains, where she and her classmates have fun hearing echoes, having a picnic, and singing their favorite tune on the bus ride home – the “Bing Bong Song.” Back at school, Peppa attends gym class, acts in the school play, participates in sports day, and much more! Young viewers will love these hilarious adventures filled with lots of snorts, laughter, sunshine, and of course, jumping in muddy puddles!

We Be Trippin

Last weekend Connor and I decided to make one last trip to Arkansas before school starts. I’m glad I got the chance to spend some time with family and friends. So, we road tripped it to AR in the 100-billion degree heat. Many trips to Starbucks later we made it to my sister’s house.

I got to see Bonnie & Vinny’s new home they are building and help pick out light fixtures. We ate a bunch of good food. Spent some relaxing time at the farm with Nannie. Got some hugs from my Mommy & Daddy. I even got to visit with some of my best friends from New Jersey who happened to be in town! It all worked out great and now we are back to the real world again.

These two are certainly a tornado together. Alone…they are perfectly fine, but when you combine the two it’s utter chaos. I got a horrible sinus infection while visiting and I had to sit for almost 2 hours at an urgent care place to get a steroid shot and some meds with these boys….CRAZINESS! On the bright side I got to see my cousin who happened to work at Walmart pharmacy & filled my prescription! What do ya know…it was so good to see her too 🙂

Easy dinners are a friend of mine. I don’t have all day to slave away in the kitchen these days, and thankfully I’ve found a lot of recipes that help me out in a jiffy! One of my favorite go-to recipes is a simple ham and cheese quiche. I’ll share the recipe with you below.

Ham and Cheese Quiche

1 pre-made pie shell
6 eggs
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup diced ham (I used Hillshire Farm Naturals® Black Forest Ham)
¼ cup diced onion
1 cup freshly shredded cheddar cheese
salt/pepper

_BBP4018 Preheat oven to 375

Beat eggs with heavy cream until well blended, add salt and pepper.

Pour ham, onions and shredded cheese into egg mixture.

Pour over top of pie shell. (I use a pie shell found in the frozen section at the grocery store)

Bake 35-45 mins until set.

DONE!
